Murders investigatedTheMbekweniPolice are investigating themysterious murders of two men at theweekend.

According to Mbekweni Police spokesper-son, Sergeant Nceba Vanqa, it is alleged thatFumanekile Xoli (25) and Cebo Mbukulo (23),both from Cape Town, were stabbed outside ofChippa’s Place on Sunday night.

From there, they were allegedly transported

to Paarl Hospital in a private vehicle.The occupants of the vehicle did not identify

themselves or the victims to hospital person-nel, only dropping off the fatally injured menand driving away. The suspects are unknown.

“We urge the community to assist the policewith information that can lead to the arrest ofthe suspects.”

Truck driver robbedA truck driver was robbed at gunpoint afterstopping topurchaseairtimeatagarage inJanvan Riebeeck Road, Dal Josaphat, on Monday.

Mbekweni Police spokesperson, SergeantNcebaVanqa, says themansaidhehadparkedthe truckat the garage at around 02:00 onMon-day morning and went into the kiosk.

When he returned to the truck, an unknownman wielding a firearm approached him andtold him to hand over his wallet by throwingit on the ground. He then ordered the man togo back to his truck and drive away.

Method:

Preheat oven to 175 °C. Cream together sugar and butter. Add vanilla and then eggs one at a time

beating into the butter and sugar mixture. In a separate bowl mix together flour and baking powder.

Slowly add the flour mixture to the ‘wet’ mixture until smooth. Bake for 20 minutes in the preheated

oven. Let cool before icing. Icing: Mix the icing sugar, butter, and vanilla with a fork until smooth and

thick. Add milk slowly and whip together. Add icing with either a spoon or decorating tool. On top of

the icing add bits of candy delicately.

• 1 1/4 Cup Flour Plus A Well 1/2 Cup Salted Butter

Rounded Tablespoon 2 Cup Icing Sugar

1 Tbs Baking Powder 2 Tbs Vanilla Paste

150 g Salted Butter 1 Tbs Milk, Added Slowly

3/4 Cup Caster Sugar Candy Corn, Sprinkles or

2 Tbs Vanilla any Orange and Black

3 Eggs Treats (smarties) Broken Up

The centre is situated at the Thusong Centre In Van der StelDrive and is open every Wednesday from 14:00 to 15:30.
