Open Source

Technologies

Ph.D. or equivalent along with a First Class M.Tech. with specialization in Information Systems or Information Technology or Computer Science and Engineering or Systems or closely related areas and a very good academic record throughout.

4. EXPERIENCE DURATION REQUIRED:

1)PROFESSOR: - A minimum of ten years of research / professional experience of which at least three years should be at the level of Associate Professor or an equivalent position in a premier and reputed organization.

2) ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR: - A minimum of eight years of research / professional experience of which three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or an equivalent position in a premier and reputed organization.

3) ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: - A minimum of three years research / professional experience in specified areas or areas directly related to Banking Technology in a premier and reputed organization.

5. TYPE OF POSITION

All positions of Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor are on Contract for a period of Three years.

The performance of the selected candidates shall be reviewed after a year, and based on the performance review; the Institute may consider offering a Regular Position. However, the upper age for being considered for a regular position shall preferably be 50 (fifty) years.

Such candidates who are not offered regular positions may serve the remaining period of contract. The Institute may consider extending the contract of performing candidates by another two years.

Candidates can also take up these positions while on a Sabbatical from their organizations. Further, the Institute invites applications for Adjunct Faculty and Visiting Faculty in all the above areas and other areas directly related to Banking Technology. Candidates applying for Sabbatical or Adjunct Faculty or Visiting Faculty positions should indicate it clearly in their applications.

6. POSITIONS ON DEPUTATION

All these positions are open to candidates working in the Indian Banking and Financial Sector. Accordingly, such candidates may apply for being considered on Deputation Basis for all these positions. Ph.D is not mandatory requirement for candidates from the Indian Banking and Financial Sector. It may also be noted that the Institute offers Pay and Allowances of One Grade Higher to staff recruited on Deputation from Commercial Banks, upto the level of AGMs.

7. RESERVATION

While one position of Associate Professor is reserved for OBC; in the case of Assistant Professors, two positions are reserved for OBC and one position is reserved for SC candidates. All other positions are open for General Candidates.

8. REMUNERATION

Consolidated Compensation on the lines of the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, during the period of Contract. Compensation shall not be a constraint for the right candidate. Further, if offered a regular position after a year, based on the performance review by the Institute, the Scale of Pay (likely to be revised on the lines of IITs) shall be as under:

9. OTHER RULES & REGULATIONS

1. Candidates whose areas of specializations lie outside those stated in this advertisement may also apply for consideration for Faculty positions if their areas of expertise are directly related to Banking Technology and are of interest to the Institute.

2. The Institute may also consider candidates without a Ph.D. provided such candidates have an outstanding record and experience in various areas directly related to Banking Technology and are of interest of the Institute.

3. These positions are open to internal candidates of the Institute.

4. Candidates should have excellent academic record, good communication skills, and a commitment to high quality applied research.

5. The Institute provides excellent facilities for Research and Development and has a well-stocked library.

6. Candidates should satisfy themselves about their eligibility for the post applied for. Mere fulfillment of eligibility does not guarantee shortlisting for Selection Process.

7. Candidates should not enclose any certificates or copies thereof with the application. The candidature will be considered on the strength of the information declared in the Application. If at any stage, it is found that any information furnished in the application is false / incorrect or if according to the Institute, the candidate does not satisfy the eligibility criteria, his/her candidature/appointment is liable to be cancelled / terminated at any point in time.

8. Candidates should apply for the positions in the format provided. Candidates applying for more than one position should send their applications separately. Incomplete applications/not in the prescribed format will be rejected and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained by the Institute.

9. All educational qualifications must have been obtained from recognized universities/institutions in India or abroad. If grades are awarded instead of marks, candidates should clearly indicate their numerical equivalent.

10. Candidates employed in Government/Semi-Government Organizations or Educational Institutions must apply through proper channel.

11. The Institute reserves the rights to screen and call only such candidates as are found prima-facie suitable for being considered by the Selection Committee. The Institute also reserves the right to restrict the candidates called for to the selection process to a reasonable number on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed herein and the requirements of the Institute. Thus, just fulfilling the prescribed conditions would not entitle one to be called for the Selection Process.

12. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised. The Institute at its discretion may relax the minimum requirements in case of outstanding candidates.

13. In all mattes regarding Eligibility, Experience, Age Limit, Compensation, Contract Term, Selection Process, Assessment, Prescribing Minimum Qualifying Standards in Selection Process, and Communication of Result, the Institute’s decision shall be final and binding on the candidates and no correspondence shall be entertained in this regard.

14. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct & result of selection process and reasons for not being called for interview.
