Been on a European tour wth Bart. Came for the 11-ces skate tour here n Fresland, Holland but the ocals sad the ce wasnt

thck enough. We sll dd some skang whch was next to mpossble because we were usng borrowed skates wthout ankle support.

i thought that i had forgoen how to skate unl i realze theres such a bg derence n a low rder ce skate.

So when we found out the 11 ces tour was o we decded to go to Amsterdam and do some bar hoppng so i could nd out what real

Dutch bars were about. Got a lle culture and went to the van Gogh Museum. Nether of us were ery mpressed but luckly there

was a Bols museum rght across the street whch we found much more entertanng. Plus you get around 3 drnks at the end of thetour and we tred our hand at arng.

Got bored n Amsterdam and decded to go to Pars. Frst nght we went out for drnks around the Mouln Rouge as thats were our

hotel was and werent ery mpressed. Seemed knda seedy and way oerprced. Next day we took a bus tour and Pars s really a ery

nteresng cty. Frst stop we made was at The Loure Museum. That was totally awesome. There s just totally too much to see n that

place. We walked around for about an hour, saw the Mona Lsa and got back on the bus to the Eel Tower. Bart decded he ddnt want

to go up because he snt that cool

wth heghts. i clmbed the rst 2 le-

els usng the stars, had a beer and

then bought a cket to the top. Neer

use to be too scared of heghts butgong up that narrow skeletal spre

n a glass eleator was frcken scary.

i almost had a heart aack gong up.

Once up there t was ne because

there was plenty of oor space and

enclosed ralngs and such but when

i got n the eleator to come back

down i kept my eyes closed and my

face bured n my sleee.

Bart sent me an SMS whle i was

clmbng the tower. He was hang-

ng around some seedy characters

and the polce threw hm aganst the

wall and asked hm f he had been

gamblng. He had to show hm hs

passport and all hs maps of Pars

to proe to the polce he was only a

tourst and not up to anythng. Aer

that Bart seemed a lle paranod that

the cops mght be followng hm.

Now were back n Fresland and not

sure what were gong to do for thenext few days ll we head back to

Jakarta. Not too much lookng for-

ward to the 13 hour ght to Snga-

pore but t wll be nce to be back

home agan.

Our regular scribe sends his apologies cing injury as an excuse for the brevity of

this update.

We are strugglng to understand how a twsted ankle can hae any bearng on

ablty to wrte or type but gen hs errac form both on and o the ptch we are

not oerly surprsed.

You wll note our form connues to hold us n the top half of the table (fourth or

h....Ed. you dd that joke last me, moe on). BuGls has now gone some 8 or

9 games undefeated, ncludng a draw aganst the Wanderers, whch should hae

been a ctory ( een Dale sad he was happy to take the pont).

it was n that game that our regular reporter sustaned hs nasty njury and had to

be carred o. it should be noted that no one was at fault....n fact there was no one

close to hm when he went down lke a sack of spuds. Truth be told the ball wasnt

een close ether and snce were n full dsclosure mode he hadnt een touched

the ball snce comng on - felled by a hole n the ground!

in was n that game too that Rodrgo, the best oerweght futsal player n the BuGls

squad, hang pracced the shot seeral mes before kck o, ended a fantasc

passage of play by olleyng a perfect cross from Marc Scheres. Darshan also dd

a good mpresson of a sprngboard n the nal mnute to launch the Wanderers

strker skyward for the equalser. illegal use of another player we would hae

thought but the ref thought otherwse and we dont want to get nto trouble for

crcsng referees, or prodng a demo of what happened by jumpng on the ref

hmself, eh Skp?

A lacklustre dsplay aganst the vkngs saw us earn another draw (sll wang for

that late surge boys) before a conncng ctory aganst the Germans, nspred by

our scrbe takng n the role of agent and ntroducng hs 21 year old nephew to

the fray....what else could he hae brought to the game f he had not been yellow-

carded and sn-bnned for a hey challenge on the most ocferous of our Germanc

frends?
