What is the GlobalRun4Water • A Global Rotary Fundraiser
– Clubs around the world adopting the same fundraiser, for the same cause, on the same day.
• Participants raise funds
– Rotarians and other participants seek sponsors from family, friends, network relations, & local businesses

• One global event in the last week of Sept.
– Rotary clubs are virtually connected to each other in common cause, message and timing
• Other global dates to follow
– March 22nd, 2013; May, 2013
• Each club can organize what/when they want
– It is not a requirement to follow the model exactly. Each club and situation can be different.
Mission Statement • To bring water to the world’s poorest
– Provide clean drinking water & sanitation as a means to lift people out of poverty & improve health, education and economic well being.
• To raise the exposure of Rotary – Help position TRF as a key WASH player.
• Match donor clubs with host Rotary Partners – Define/realize sustainable MG/GG projects.
• To help donor clubs raise funds for projects – Easy to get involved in; lucrative fundraiser

– Establish committee of 4-6 Rotarians to manage event organization.

• Seek sponsors
– To cover costs, provide needed items for the event
• Project selection: Multiple project options
