Directors Visit Last Friday our new Director, Educational Leadership for the Mudgee Network, Michael Honeywood, visited our school where he was taken on a tour by two of our school councillors, Alice Fergusson and Seth May. Both Alice and Seth did an outstanding job sharing everything that Cudgegong Valley has to offer. Following the tour, the Director had lunch with the remaining school councillors where he enjoyed getting feedback from them on one thing they would change if they were the principal of the school. Their insights and suggestions were enlightening and have certainly given me food for thought! Lost Property

We are having a problem with the quantity of lost property finding its way to the tubs in the library. All named items have been returned to their owners, however, there is still a large quantity of

good quality items without names. As we change over to winter uniforms, it might be timely to check that all uniform items are clearly labelled with name and class. Wendy Hogben Deputy Principal

P&C News Thank you to everyone who supported us at the Cross Country last Thursday by buying a coffee, tea or baked goodies. We made just over $300 profit for the morning, which is wonderful. A big thank you to the volunteers who helped out with serving; Jilly Roberts, Nicole Nicholson, John Skinner, Arnya Turner, and Katie McGilvray. Also our talented bakers; Meg Stoddart, Rebecca Redfern, Thea Spencer, Sara Fergusson, Jilly and Arnya. And our behind the scenes helpers; Rob Lonergan, Kristie Cavanagh, SeoRyung Skinner and Grant McGilvray. GOLF, GOLF, GOLF!! Our Golf day is approaching…. Sunday 27

th May at the

Mudgee Golf Club. The day is a 4 person Ambrose with a tee off time of 9.30am. Children are welcome to be part of a team with 2 adults. Entry is $30 per person and includes a BBQ lunch. Organise a team and enter for a great day out. As well as prizes for 1

st, 2

nd and 3

rd team there will be longest

drive and closest to the Flag prizes, auction items and 3 great raffle prizes. The Entry form is up on the board at the Golf Club ProShop now. This is the major fundraiser for P&C this year. Stay tuned for plenty more information about the day and our wonderful sponsors and donors. HAVE YOU SEEN OUR THERMOMETER? We thought everyone would like to watch our progress towards our $70,000 goal so there is a HUGE thermometer on the wall of the School Hall. When we reach that $70,000 we can purchase an all-weather sports court for the school! This has been an ongoing aim for the last 18 months and we hit the half way mark last December. We understand that not everyone can volunteer time to our fundraising so if you or your business who would like to contribute to our total goal we would be delighted to make contact with you. Information will come home with the children and be posted on our Facebook page in the next few weeks. Mother’s Day stall Our Mother’s day stall is on tomorrow, Wednesday 9th May. If your child was away for the note or is away on Wednesday there will be additional $4 gifts available for purchase at recess on Thursday, near the canteen. Cheers, Jenni Buckley
