SIN CITY IN THE TWIN CITIES

The fourth annual Minneso-ta Builders Convention is hap-pening January 28-30, 2011, in Minneapolis for the first time, at the Crowne Plaza Minne-apolis North.

The theme this year is Las Vegas Casino, so come out for some high stakes fun off the strip. It’s Sin City in the Twin Cities! Registration is now open!

Find out more and register online at www.bamn.org/con-vention.

New this year is a full day of builder continuing educa-tion and leadership training on Friday. The

Convention officially kicks off Friday evening with a Las Vegas themed casino night. The fun continues Saturday with lots networking, expert keynote speakers, hospitality suites and all the fun you’ve heard about the past three years. Saturday evening con-cludes with our prestigious awards banquet and dance with a live band.

BAM AWARDSThe BAM Awards applica-

tions and process have been streamlined this year and the applications are now available online at www.bamn.org/con-vention. Award winners must be nominated and those

nominating must submit the application. New this year is a category for big and small-distinguished business of the year. All applications are due by email, fax or mail no later than November 19th.

FACEBOOkAlso new this year, BAM now

has a presence on Facebook and we’ve posted pictures from last year’s Convention. Check it out and see for yourself. In light of the casino theme we will be hosting a trivia game each month with a prize for the winner. Each month we will be sending a convention trivia question out in the This Week email publication. The answer will be posted somewhere on the Convention website.

To play you must be on Fa-cebook and post your answer

on the BAM group page.

SPONSORSHIPA few Convention sponsor-

ships are still available and we want you to get in the game. Check out the

opportunities available at www.bamn.org/convention. Please contact Jenae Palewicz at [email protected] with any questions you may have about sponsorship.

Remember you have the option of partnering up with a fellow company and splitting the cost down the middle. It’s a good way to get your name out to 3200 statewide members. Whether you sponsor indi-vidually or with another com-pany, the sooner you become a sponsor the more benefits you’ll receive.

COME ON DOWNThis year the rates are bet-

ter than ever, with more reg-istration options and a conve-nient location. If you haven’t been to a Minnesota Builders Convention, this is the year to come see what’s it’s all about!

NO NEW MEMBERS FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER Every new member the Association gains, makes it a stronger business tool for everyone! If you do business with someone who is not a member of LRBA, encourage them to join! It will benefit you, them, and every member of the Lake Region Builders.

Introducing the 2011 Minnesota Builders Convention:October was not my favor-

plant, cards, thoughts and prayers. The newsletter is a little late this month, but out in time for all the important things to be known. There was a great turnout for the meeting on October 19th, and I am sorry I couldn’t stay for the whole thing. Sounds like everyone learned a lot of in-formation.

Education classes are coming up again with Renovate, Repair and Paint still be-ing a priority, although a lot of people do not think they need it. We also have our Expo’s in January & February, and lots of good meetings coming up. I have en-closed an updated Calendar of Events in the newsletter. Please look it over and mark your calendars.

Wishing everyone a Happy Turkey Day. Be sure to give thanks for all that we have.
