Sixth Form Reading List

THE WIDER WORLD

Congratulations! You are now embarking on two years of knowledge that will be instrumental in your development as a person.

In order to fully take advantage of the academic opportunities you face you will need to develop your wider reading and knowledge of the world. You will need to read beyond the course texts and consider the political, literary, scientific, moral and philosophical findings that surround you and helped create the world as we know it.

To aid in this I present you with a challenge:❏ There are forty five titles outlined in this

challenge. ❏ Your job is to read a minimum of five in each

year of your Sixth Form journey for a total of ten titles.

This might seem like just another task in already busy time but, I promise you, your engagement with the world around you will make you a better learner as well as a more informed member of society.
