Father’s Day Stall

We will be holding a Father’s Day stall at school TOMORROW Friday, 30th August in time for Father’s Day on Sunday, 1st September. All children will have the opportunity to purchase ONE gift from the Father’s Day stall. Students may buy a second gift after all classes have purchased from the stall. Students should bring money on the day (NO money to the office, please). Gifts are now on display on the notice board near the canteen so students can view (and negotiate with their siblings) before they buy.

All gifts cost $5.00

Student Banking

There will be no student banking conducted at school for the next three weeks. School banking will resume on Monday, 23rd September. Students are still encouraged to save their money for the next three weeks and bank it together in one deposit on 23rd September.

Premier’s Debating Challenge Over the last few weeks our two debating teams, the North Haven Blues and the North Haven Maroons, competed in the Premier's Debating Challenge. Christa Dale, Ella Ferris, Oscar Geronimi, James Parker, Shyla Piper and Matilda Ray argued and rebutted their way through 4 rounds of debates against Lake Cathie Public School, Laurieton Public School and Taree West Public School.

Despite our best efforts, Taree West Public School were declared the overall winners and will go on to compete in the next round against schools in the surrounding zones.

All students involved competed with great courage and proudly represented North Haven Public School.

Terrific effort debaters!
