This Sunday we begin the celebration of Holy Week with Palm Sunday. It is the most sacred celebration of the Christian faith where we commemorate the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The ongoing health crisis contin-ues to present serious challenges for all of us. Our celebration of Holy Week this year is unprecedented because we are not permit to celebrate as a community. However, I am sending you the above link containing an electronic booklet which contains an excellent resource to celebrate Holy Week as family in your own home. It contains various activities and prayers that will help you to live these holy days. May our celebrations of these days help us to reflect and deepen our trust in God and renew our hope in Christ’s victory over sin and death.
Be assured of my continued prayers for you and your families during these difficult times. Hold on to your faith that God is faithful and His love is everlasting.

BAPTISM: Baptism Preparation - Please allow 6-8 weeks to complete requirements. Parents wishing to baptize a child must show a minimum of three months active registration, including weekly Mass attendance and tithing. MARRIAGE: The Diocese of Phoenix mandates a nine-month period of preparation for couples seeking to be married in the church. Registration in the parish for three months is required. Care for the Sick Emergency Anointing of the Sick: During this time, Anointing of the Sick will be offered only to those in danger of death. Non-emergency visits to the sick and homebound have been suspended until further notice in order to limit the potential spread of the virus.
Chapel is open for daily prayer, 9 AM - 5 PM. The chapel is open daily from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. However, it is important that social distancing be practiced. Chapel is limited to 10 or less people.

FIVE SIMPLE WAYS TO CELEBRATE HOLY WEEK AT HOME Create a simple prayer space in your home, and gather there to pray during the week.
Palm Sunday: At your regular Mass time, read the first Palm Sunday Gospel (Mt 21:1–11) and meditate on or discuss what Jesus might be thinking as he enters Jerusalem for the last time.
Holy Thursday: Bake bread for sharing at dinner; make a ritual of stripping the dinner table of all cloths and decorations after dinner.
Good Friday: Pray the Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m.
Holy Saturday: In the morning, read Psalm 64 and break your Good Friday fast solemnly with a simple meal.
Easter Sunday: Dress up the din-ner table again. Include candles and crosses, so that the candy baskets aren’t the only festive items present. Sing Alleluia and read the Easter Gospel (Matthew 28:1-10) with solemnity and joy. Copyright © J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.
