A New Platform for Global Missional
Partnerships.!
Hi, I’m John Henry. !
Founder & CEO of the UofN Student Mobilization Centre of Youth With A Mission,
Inc.
I thought I was breaking the mold…
As a faith missionary with YWAM, I have facilitated 75 internship teams...
With students from over 100 universities in 9 countries...
Integrating their fields of study with service...
To projects serving the poor in 35 countries.
But our students were mostly from the Western World.
Here’s what I saw along the way.
Indian & Korean missionaries leading
student fellowships all over India.
YWAM leaders from Madagascar working on campus in four cities
their nation.
I have worked with hundreds of young Korean leaders engaging university
communities in 35 countries.
Chinese church planters leading tens of thousands in universities in 6 cities.
The movement plans to send one million new missionaries in the next decade .
The World has changed.

The new Majority Church is in the Global South

75% of Church is now outside the West and has little
attachment to Western traditions, identity, and legacy.
(Roman/Greek/Protestant)
God’s Church does not have a mission; God’s Mission has a Church with many
centers.
And this new world is FLAT... More connected.
• Nigeria has100 million mobile phone lines.
• Kenya’s mobile phone sales increased more than 200% in 2009.
• There are 650 million mobile phones In Africa.
• far more than U.S. and Europe.
Question
How do we respond to this growing opportunity to share Jesus Christ and mobilize a new generation?
This question led to many more...
How can we mobilize volunteers from anywhere to everywhere?
How can we foster missional partnerships?
What is a missional community?
And how can they be involved now?
Here’s our response to the opportunity:

Hosts initiate with a simple online app, get validated by a YWAM missionary, and publish their project on our site.
StudentsThe most connected, well travelled, cross-
cultural, and socially conscious generation.
Students search the site from anywhere to serve the project that best fits their schedule,
passion, and field of study.

So you must go and make disciples... Matthew 28:19
Mentors
Mentors are experienced YWAMers (or former YWAMers). They are mature Christ-followers, cross-culturally experienced, technically capable & project oriented.
Mentors guide students through online IPO course (50 short videos), preparing them to serve and discern their life-work calling.
Donors• Donors make a personal
connection with students and projects serving communities they are passionate about.
• Donors control giving & leverage gifts to expand capacity.
• Donors will see results, including global reach and local depth.
