As you read...Dear friend and partner in ministry,

Since working with youth in Australia the past 3 years, I have noticed the large amount of young people that have thought about taking their own lives or have known someone that has taken their’s. There are far too many youth in this

nation who don’t feel like they could ever do something positive with in their own lives or for any-one else’s. As you read my thoughts on this and get God’s heart for the nation of Australia you know that something needs to happen and to create a movement of purpose and life amongst the youth.

That is why it’s exciting to inform you about one of the projects that has been on my heart to do since it was first being discussed in 2007! I will be directly involved in the YWAM Australia & PNG Ship Tour from mid-January to April next year where we will be calling “100,000 young Australians to missions”. This ship tour is just one way that God will shake up the nations of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Please take time to read through this booklet because I know that God isn’t just calling me to reach out to Aussie youth but He may be calling you to be a part of it! Please pray about being a part through donating, prayer, or even going to help out yourself! Thank you for continuing to get behind me in prayer and support!

Love, Krystal Cochran

What does a ship tour look like?

In February 2010 the MV Pacific Link will sail into Newcastle to begin a 16 port Ship Tour up the east coast of Australia before embarking on a medical missions tour to Papua New Guinea. While traveling up the coast there will be teams of musicians, dancers, skaters, and cultural groups going to churches and schools to challenge this generation into action. Using their talents and stories they will share about the poor and needy in Papua New Guinea, help youth explore their purpose in life, and inform them of the opportunities in which they can make a difference.

I love the idea of everyday having hundreds of school students and their teachers take a field trip to see the ship. When they arrive they will tour the ship and walk through a display of pictures and objects from Papua New Guinea to be informed of issues happening in our world and how they can make a difference. I will be overseeing this area to make sure that it’s all happening smoothly and will personally connect with each school that comes. When connecting with them I will be helping to link them into a ministry that takes place there in their community or around the world so they can go and be a part of the change. This means I will be able to share with thousands of people about the Mission Adventures program I run, use my gift of meeting new people and helping them feel welcome, as well as share my stories I have about missions! Being lead by God, imagine how many people I will get to meet and speak to about God and His heart for the poor and needy!

How you can get involved

Everyone working with YWAM Reef to Outback raise their own funds from the director to the cook. $3200 will cover all my funds for living, travel, and outreach expenses during the tour. Please pray about giving and being part of the Ship tour in this way!

GivingI’m sure that you could imagine taking on such a big responsibility can be quite a stressful project! In order for the tour to be success we need God’s strength and strategy! Please consider praying for me and for the tour. You can even sign up to receive prayer updates!

PrayingThere are many opportun-ties to help with the tour. From stage set up, to being a ship tour guide, to signing up for the medical outreach! There’s a place for everyone and what’s great is that you don’t need any prior involve-ment in YWAM. Please con-tact me if you’re interested in helping in 2010.
