The Theology of a Toy
Dear Friends,,
It is interesting to see the difference
a toy can make in the life of a child.
It is a theme that we normally think
about at Christmas, but this year
we have had the opportunity to
contemplate it for the last several months.
More than Community & Medical Outreaches, evangelism in
schools, teaching etc, we help various ministries that work with
children. Many times these are boys and girls from extremely
difficult circumstances: they are orphans, victims of abuse, have
learning impediments, desperately poor parents; many things.
It is very common for these children to not know how to read or not
read at the proper level for their age. They get lost in the large
quantity of students that the average educator needs to teach.
One strategy that God has given us has to do with toys, Lego to be
precise. These blocks really set off a child’s creative abilities and are tremendously educational. However, they are also very expensive (2-3
times the North American price) and out of the reach of most ministries.
Taking advantage of the generosity of outreach teams that have come, we
have received and distributed several boxes of Lego to children’s
programs this year. Those programs have not stopped sending their
thanks because they see their kids changed & their educations moving
forward - all because of a toy!

What can YOU do for the Lord in just one weekend?
Is it possible that you could: share God’s love, listen to someone, pray for them, serve food, hand out clothing or paint the fingernails of a girl that feels ugly and declare over her that God made her beautiful?
If you can do any of these tasks or with whatever skill you might have, you can be part of reaching tens of thousands of people with the Gospel!
In Bogota this year we have held 4 Community & Medical Outreaches through which we have reached tens of thousands of people with the love of Jesus. At the same time we have provided food, clothing, counselling and so much more to many very needy people. All of this is NOT the work of pastors and missionaries. It is the result of hundreds of volunteers like YOU surrendering to the Great Commission; even if only for a few days of service.
We are already programming outreaches for 2016. Write us and you can experience the miracles that God wants to do through you!

Quibdo, Choco
Why Quibdó (remote Colombian jungle city?
•Quibdó has a huge rate of
unemployment.
• It is a city where more than 30000 refugees have arrived due
to the conflict with the FARC Guerrillas and their violence.
• Quibdó has only one doctor for every 18,000 residents and
one nurse for every 8000.
• It is an area with the lowest quality of life and greatest lack of basic needs being met.
• Lack of adequate housing. • Extreme Poverty & Inequity.
• There is little to no governmental presence in many areas.
It for this reason and many others that it is necessary to con-tinue ministering in some way in this forgotten region.
Outreach Results
- Some 2205 people were
served by our volunteers:
- 1000 people were seen in
Medicine, Dentistry and re-
ceived their medications 100% free of charge.
- more than 1000 children had
classes in principles and values. All received food and books.
- 580 people were served by our Beauticians (hair cuts, nails).
Music, dramas, competitions, games, videos and other artistic
expressions were all part of the outreach. Christian values and principals were taught and Jesus was glorified!
Dozens of people received Jesus as their personal Saviour!
