DESCRIPTION
This presentation tells about the Areas irrigated by FPC: PC1 is going to irrigate all those areas which are below 475mts AMSL. PC2 is going to irrigate all those areas which are below 875mts AMSL in the Bangalore platue. PC4 is going to irrigate all those areas which are below 225mtsAMSL. All these are tentative values; it may change if the level of the canal changes in the future. Area Irrigated by FPC1 are the rivers basin where the land is below 475 mts AMSL Bearma, Weinganga-Panch-Kanhan-Wardha-Penganga, Heran-Narmada-Burhner-Banjar, Penganga-Purna-Dudna-Godhavari-Manjra-Kagna-Benithora-Sina-Bhima-Man-Don, Krishna-Malaprabha-Tungabhadra-Chikkahagari-Hagari-Pennar-Papagni-Cheyyaru, Palar-Ponniyar-Kaveri, Moyar-Bhavani-Noyil-Amaravathi, Nangangi-surya(Vaigai)-Arjun-Vaippur, Chittar, Area irrigated by FPC1 West Extension are the rivers basin where the land is below 475 mts AMSL are Luni to Jawai. Area irrigated by FPC1 East Extension are the rivers basin where the land is below 475 mts AMSL are Son-Hasdo, Tel, Indravathi, Mahanadhi to Damodhar, Sankh, Subarnarekha to Hasdo, Seonath. Bangalore platue is the elevated land present in the south India, which is going to be irrigated by the FPC2. This way all the lands which are suitable for agriculture will get the water from one of the FPC and thus it is possible to eradicate the drought to the maximum extent.
