Use the Bible as a relevant and effective tool for spiritual leadership Approach the Word

The Bible Core Course (BCC) is the place to encounter God through His Word! In this school you will read through the entire Bible, while learning how to study it for yourself. The BCC introduces students to the inductive method as an approach to studying the Bible. An inductive study examines the Scriptures using many different resources in order to understand it in a new light. This means leaving behind any preconceived ideas about the Scriptures, and allowing the true content of God’s Word to be revealed. This approach not only helps you with your study of the Bible, but also provides a great foundation for life-long ministry. In addition, you will learn how to memorize and meditate on the Scriptures so you can effectively incorporate God’s Word into areas of evangelism, worship and intercession. You will also have opportunities to lead Bible study groups and practice and develop your teaching and preaching skills.

Course Contents Study individual books in depth from OT and NT Work with every form of literature in the Bible prophetic, poetic, apocalytic, etc Old Testament overview New Testament history Understand the parables and epistles See how God has revealed himself through scripture Lead small group Bible studies Learn principles for preaching the Word

On Location CourseIn April, we offer a BCC with a traveling classroom. For the second part of the lecture phase, you will take your studies on the road – from Switzerland we will move to the Middle East, visiting countries like Egypt, Israel and Turkey. This will be an amazing opportunity to experience the context in which the Bible was written. You will walk the path of the Israelites’ exodus, meditate in the olive tree groves, and visit places along Paul’s missionary journey. The BCC on location will be a time where the Word of God springs to life as you

study it!

Outreach Phase (optional)The BCC outreach is a time to practically apply Bible study principles in a cross-cultural context by teaching and preaching. The location and specific ministry opportunities for this time will be decided during the lecture phase. When outreach is offered, depending on the situation, it is optional. Upon successful completion, you will be given 8-12 credits.

Create potential for future generations

FOUNDATIONS IN EDUCATION

Make An Impression The Foundation in Education school (FIE) provides a biblical framework for those who are existing educators or those who wish to become educators or work with children in any context. The FIE curriculum emphasizes the development of disciples of Jesus to know who they are and what they are called to be. If biblical principles are set within children during their foundational years, they will impact the child – with the potential to impact his or her family, community and nation for life.

This course gives an overview of the physical, intellectual, moral, social/emotional and spiritual development of children and young people. Some topics covered are philosophy of education, nature of learning, and principle approach to education. In addition, the FIE provides a framework for the development of character qualities necessary to be an effective teacher. It is our goal to show the youngest generation the praise of the Lord, His strength and the wonderful works that He has done so that they might set their hope in God.
