Social Media for Educators – Pinterest

1. Provide screenshots of your classroom Pinterest home page with at least three boards, each with at least five pins within them. How will these boards add to your instruction or classroom management?

Out of everything on the web Pinterest has to be my number one search area. I am on Pinterest everyday looking for new ideas to use in the classroom. I have found so many ideas that sometimes I feel like tossing all of my old copies of art activities and lessons. Many of the pins lead you to Teachers Pay Teachers which is another great place. I must admit I like to look at the ideas and then recreate them myself to make them useful to me. Every month I change my classroom door and as you can see I have so many great ideas to choose from it is unreal. I also choose different writing ideas for monthly art projects and prompts. Kids love these ideas they are sometimes time consuming to prep but, well worth it. STEM activities have become more available on Pinterest too making science activities easier to accomplish in the classroom.
