Jingee Wala We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the
land on which we live, work and our school
stands. We pay our respect to Elders past and
present and strive to inspire our future leaders.
It certainly is a different time we are living in with the seriousness of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the need to change our behaviour to keep everyone safe. Our school is open & all staff are working on delivering learning packs for all of our students. The Government and Department are encouraging you to keep your child at home from Tuesday 24 March. We are also working on how to access the online learning platforms but we are first exploring how this can work for our school. We will be sending home information about how to set up a learning space & time tabling learning throughout the day. It is necessary for students to be supported to complete learning packs that will be sent home on Mondays. Each week they can be collected and returned to the Community Learning Centre on the school site on Mondays. All students learning packs will be returned to school on Mondays for marking by the classroom teacher. Teachers will keep up contact with students and families & they can be contacted at school each day if students need assistance. Learning packs will include worksheets for students, information for parents as well as maths games & passwords for online learning including Reading Eggs and Study ladder. If you do not have a computer don’t be concerned, students can complete other work provided. Families can access the NSW Department site to contribute to

When children eat well they have energy
for learning and play. They concentrate
better and achieve more. Limiting your
child’s sugar intake, drinking water ra-
ther than soft drinks and ensuring plenty
of fresh food sets up the right habits for
later in life. Eating well yourself is the
best way to influence your child’s atti-
tude to eating.
Don’t forget – Active Kids Rebate vouchers are available twice per year for children aged 4.5-18 years for sports registration fees. They can be used to subsidise registration costs by up to $100.
To activate your voucher, head to the Ser-vice NSW website to complete the applica-tion - https:www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher
