BASEBALL BATTLE OF THE WEEK!

This Thursday, March 26th, undefeated CDO takes on 11-2 Marana Tigers at

Marana, 4pm. This is certain to be an intense battle between two baseball

powerhouses. Moreover, this will be a highly scouted game, as 3 major league

prospects take the field. Marana's Travis Howard and Bradley Gonzales are

each being recruited as pitchers, both throwing upwards of 92mph. For CDO,

Nick Aimes is on the radar for major league scouts. In addition to these 3

players, both Marana and CDO have exceptional talent. Marana has several

players who are in the top 5 rankings statewide for stats leaders in stolen

bases, home runs and batting average. Last year, Marana beat CDO at their

field. No doubt, CDO intends to repay the favor. Both teams have performed

well offensively and defensively, both with excellent showings at the recent

Lancer Classic (Marana went 4-1 at the tournament; CDO won the Lancer

Classic, improving their record to 13-0). Both Marana and CDO are clearly

committed to making the State playoffs.
