Background
SharePoint purchased as a result of an organisation wide consultation concluding there was a need for an application that would provide the ability for better knowledge management, collaboration and tools to assist with staff with their main work processes.

Previously no central repository for all Council events.
Calendar content Local calendars from teams, sections and
councillors “bubbled up” to feed into wider organisation Calendar using content types.
Content can also be loaded directly into the Corporate calendar.
