Principal’s messageWe’ve made it to the end of the term! Everyone has embraced the new “normal” and it has been wonderful to see everyone return to our everyday school routines. It has been particularly refreshing to concentrate on core learning and not have as many disruptions to our daily school routine. I wish everyone a safe and happy winter break with some sunshine and rain mixed in!
A final reminder that the last day of this term for students is Thursday 2nd July. Friday 3rd July will be a pupil free day for staff to participate in Visible Learning which will be delivered virtually through the Corwin Institute using John Hattie’s research. There will be no supervision for students on this day, however all students will be expected to attend school on the first day of Term 3, Monday 20th July. Please see the winning poster design in this week’s newsletter by Sophie White and coloured in by Hayley Hampton.
Year 6 will be participating in Peer Support training early next term. Overnight excursions are still on hold, however, we have revamped the training into a one day course to be held at Moorbel Hall. Permission notes will be sent home at the beginning of Term 3. Our renowned Peer Support Program will commence in Week 3 as well as SRE and SEE.
Our Kindergarten 2021 transition programs will be starting with Kinderbounce “kicking off” again in Term 3. If you know of any families who have a child starting school next year please encourage them to call the school for an information pack or come in and visit our wonderful school.
Have a great holiday!
