BiographyHipasus of Metapontum was born in

Metaponto; a Greek city situated near Tarento´s Gulf in the 500 B.C.

He was a mathematician, music, theoristician and pre- socratic philosopher.

There're some theories about his death, some people thought he killed himself, others thought some pitagorians killed him and others thought he had a shipwreck travelling by boat.

Phythagoriam brotherhood.

He was a pythagoriam but they expelled him because he thought that the element of fire was the cause of everything while Pythagoras thought that the elements of everything were the numbers. But the main cause was that he discovered that not all the numbers were rational, also were irrational numbers, telling that to those people who could support his idea.
