From Your School Office
The end of the first trimester is Tuesday, November 21st. Please remember to log into PowerSchool to
keep up with your child’s grades. If you are still in need of a PowerSchool login, please contact the office.
Don’t forget to follow St. Matthias Parish School’s Facebook page and invite your friends to like it as well.
This is a great way to see what exciting things are happening at our school.
Our Middle School Dance will be held this Friday, November 17th. Please make sure your child has their
permission slip turned in or with them when they arrive at the dance. This dance is only for students who
attend St. Matthias Parish School.
There will not be a mailer next week due to the short school week. Enjoy the long break with your
children, and have a Safe & Happy Thanksgiving!
7th Grade Teacher Announcement
I am saddened to announce that 7th grade homeroom teacher, Mrs. Rawski has chosen to resign. Her final day will be Tuesday, November 21st. We at St. Matthias wish her well and look forward to
introducing a new 7th grade teacher as soon as a quality candidate is found. In the interim, please know
that we will ensure your child’s education will not be disrupted.
Volunteer Opportunities
Our Pancake Breakfast with Santa is still in need of volunteers. If you are looking to get some hours, this would be a great event to help out with. If you are interested, please follow this link:

Winter Weather
It may seem like a long way off, but we need to be aware of winter weather.
Please double check for uniform sweatshirts and sweaters. The school can be drafty in areas and
we want the students to be comfortable.
If there is inclement weather, St. Matthias Parish School will close if Milwaukee Public Schools
close. Please watch the news/radio stations for that information. Please do not call the school or teachers at home.
Please be aware that the St. Matthias Parish may close outside of Milwaukee Public Schools. The
parish has many parishioners who should not be out during inclement weather. They will close if
they feel it best serves their clientele.

Seton Catholic Schools presents Community Resource Fairs:
Saturday, November 18th at Prince of Peace, 1646 S. 22nd Street from 10:00am-3:00pm.
Join us for information on medical care, rent/heat assistance, mental health resources, youth programs,

Catholic Memorial Musical Tryouts
Catholic Memorial High School invites students in grades 1-8 to audition for the Winter Musical Nice
Work If You Can Get It. Auditions will take place on Saturday, December 2nd from 8:00am-12:00pm in
the Catholic Memorial High School Auditorium. Rehearsals will be Saturday mornings from 8:00am-
12:00pm (no rehearsals over Christmas break) and performances are in February. All are welcome, no
