A Message from Mrs. Earle
Happy St. Nick! I share here a message from our Catholic Schools Superintendent Dr. Kathleen Cepelka.
She expressed how we can live the spirit of St. Nick so beautifully!
This is a good day for us as Catholic educators
to remember the power of surprises in our lives
and to reflect on traditions
in our schools, homes, and communities
that prompt us to quietly leave gifts behind
that others don't expect.
It's also a feast that calls us
to make room for miracles,
for the filling of our "shoes" with the
spiritual gifts we most need.
Father John also shared with our children at Mass yesterday, that we should all let our light shine by
showing our love of Jesus through gratitude and kindness – two of the greatest gifts we can give!
Spaghetti Dinner – Please join Home and School for the Spaghetti Dinner and Holiday Bazaar tomorrow from 5:00-8:00 in Steiger Hall! Santa will also be there!
Honor Roll – We are so proud of our students and their academic achievements. In today’s mailer, you
will find our First and Second Honors students for the first trimester. First Honors have achieved a 4.0 -
3.750 Grade Point Average. Second Honors have achieved a 3.5 – 3.749 Grade Point Average. What a tremendous accomplishment for our 6th, 7th and 8th Graders! Congratulations!!!
Community Christmas Tree – If your Christmas traditions include going downtown this year, please
be sure to visit Cathedral Square and the St. Matthias Christmas Tree! Ms. Riese-Hattori and her elves
decorated our school tree to represent our yearlong Esther theme. Thank you again to the students who participated!
Thank you to Father Chuck who started our week with an Advent Wreath blessing. Every classroom has
a wreath to remind us of this precious time of waiting!
