Ron Hawkins has long been revered as one of Canada's greatest contemporary singer‐songwriters. As lead singer/multi‐instrumentalis

and main songwriter of Canada's legendary The Lowest of The Low, Ron and the group were inducted in the Canadian Indie Rock Hall

Fame, their debut album Shakespeare My Butt was awarded gold and Chart Magazine has honored it as one of the Top 10 Canadian

Albums of All Time. Comparisons to a Canadian Elvis Costello or Paul Westerberg are apt.

His fourteenth album Spit, Sputter, Sparkle comes on the heels of 2015’s Garden Songs which earned him his second NOW Magazine

When Little Green Cars were deciding on a title for their extraordinary second album, they discovered a poem that capture

exactly what they were after. That poem is called Ephemera, and as soon as singer Stevie Appleby read it to his band mates

the album was too.

“It’s a transitional album,” says Stevie. “Lyrically, it’s all about change – the end of some eras, new beginnings, learning fro

the past and looking to the future. Ephemera means things that are important to you, but only for a short time. That could

apply to music or relationships or even a particular day. The poem sums up the theme of the album, which we only realised

ourselves when we’d recorded the songs.”

In countless ways, Little Green Cars have changed. They’ve moved on, not just from the kids who made the startlingly

assured Absolute Zero. In truth, they’ve already moved on from the people they were when they wrote Ephemera. But singi

frenetic rock band roots, and is both a jubilant thrill ride and joyous celebration of their past ten years. Heading into the studio with

external producer to oversee a whole album for the first time ‐ and even writing a tune with Cass McCombs (‘Thank You’) ‐ the ba

teamed up with the legendary Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Laura Marling, The Staves) to produce their first truly live record, o

a cool

‘70s

undertow,

tumultuous

riffs

and

a feverish

energy

that’s

resulted

arguably

some

their

Eddie the Eagle is a British‐American‐German sports comedy drama film directed by Dexter Fletcher with a screenplay by

Sean Macaulay and Simon Kelton. The film stars Taron Egerton as Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards, a British skier who in 1988

became the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping. The film also stars Hugh

Jackman and Christopher Walken.

Enrique Bunbury is one of the most important Spanish rock musicians recognized internationally. He was leader of the

legendary band 'Heroes del Silencio', which earned a resounding success throughout Latin America, US and in much of

Europe (especially in Central European countries). Since 1996, Bunbury took on a meteoric solo career with 9 studio album

On November 11, 2009, Enrique Bunbury played the Azteca Stadium in Mexico, becoming the first Spanish musician to

Continuing a tradition of expansive Scandinavian pop, Ane Brunis 14 years into a prolific career, and on ‘When I’m Free’, we findher at her most settled. This record floats seamlessly with analmost impatient willingness to throw countless ideas, harnessedby one of the vocal performances of the year.In 2012, Ane touredand wrote to the extent that exhaustion set in. During a tour withPeter Gabriel (with whom Ane has collaborated), health issues

took their toll.

From that frenzied life comes a beautifully produced record, co-produced by Tobias Fröberg, which is meticulously paced andspacious: ‘All We Want is Love’ uses luscious stringarrangements and softly strummed guitar to propel Ane’sachingly beautiful voice, while the busier ‘Directions’ still boaststhe same patience; drum kicks and timpani are balanced out bytwinkling piano triplets, which act as comparative light rainfallagainst a low hum of thunder. Lyrically, there’s a lot to enjoyhere: ‘You Lit My Fire’ is a tribute to the powerful women who’veinspired the Molde-based songwriter: “spray my body in gold /ingrate myself with their names” is a couplet in a song drippingwith liberation rhetoric, refrains of “I will never ever forget” and

“freedom”. ‘Still Waters’ harks to that period of ill health andexhaustion: “I feel the wind slowing down around me,” Anecroons, on top of reverberated snares and eerie chordprogressions, something like Massive Attack-lite in its textures.‘When I’m Free’ finds Ane in a powerful mood. It’s packed withcompositions which match a sense of control that echoes her life.This album is one of empowerment and regained vitality.

When Little Green Cars were deciding on a title for their extraordinary second album, they discovered a poem that capture

exactly what they were after. That poem is called Ephemera, and as soon as singer Stevie Appleby read it to his band mates

the album was too.

“It’s a transitional album,” says Stevie. “Lyrically, it’s all about change – the end of some eras, new beginnings, learning fro

the past and looking to the future. Ephemera means things that are important to you, but only for a short time. That could

apply to music or relationships or even a particular day. The poem sums up the theme of the album, which we only realisedourselves when we’d recorded the songs.”

In countless ways, Little Green Cars have changed. They’ve moved on, not just from the kids who made the startlingly
