That’s why the welcome has been a little lukewarm at first, but about ten minutes later plaudits were rising: After theopener ”Sweet Home Chicago“ and ”She´s So Fine“, the “Master Of The Telecaster” entered the stage. Albert Collins wasimmediately attracting his fans’ attention: ”Listen Here“. Seconds after the extraordinary instrumental intro the ice meltedaway: An impish grin in his sweaty face the Texan in his red outfit draw his unique blue notes from his Fender guitar. Also“Cold Cold Feeling“ was an expression of Collin’s talent. With his long thin fingers and without the commonly used pick, theIceman treats the six strings of his instrument in an inimitable manner. Also unusual was, that Albert Collins didn`t wear hisguitar belt along his back, but solely around his right shoulder. This gave him more freedom to move, which he made use ofextensively. In addition to that, the very long cable gave him the possibility to go for a stroll into the audience – Collins wasnyet using a wireless system. At this Rockpalast concert he also left the stage to meet his fans in the crowd. Longimprovisations and solos – also by his great band around saxophonist and singer A.C. Reed – are emphasizing his reputatioas an experienced soloist and brilliant entertainer, evenhandedly.

Over the past five years on the road as one third of Yukon Blonde, Brandon Wolfe Scott penned notebooks full of playful ne

country ditties, purely for fun – writing songs under an alter ego named Dusty Summers. With the band on break between

albums and for the first time not touring in 2014, Scott found himself revisiting those old notebooks and connecting with lyric

that he had once considered “a joke”.

“I ended up really loving some of the songs, such as Postcard Writer . So I decided to salvage them in a way that was more

me, you know drop the low country voice that I was putting on and play them more like how I normally would. They were jus

nice songs, so I reworked the lyrics to make them sound less hokey and more meaningful.”

Touring internationally and receiving a long list of accolades (including a Juno Nomination, Two Polaris Prize Nominations a

a SiriusXM Indie Win) with the BC indie rock trio, exposed Scott to a macrocosm of music and sounds. But what influenced

him the most was home; specifically his Grandfather’s home in Vancouver, BC, where he would crash in between tours. Thewas a lot of cribbage and a lot of country music.

“My Grandfather would just put on the greatest little country records all day long and we would just sit and bull shit about old

country guys - like Floyd Cramer who was a great piano player and Sons of the Pioneers and I guess it really came through

my songs.”

Australia’s HUSKY are excited to announce the forthcoming release of their sophomore album. Ruckers Hill will be released via Nevado

Music and is their first for the label. Ruckers Hill was produced by Husky Gawenda, Gideon Preiss and co‐produced over many sessions

with storied Sydney producer Wayne Connolly . Phil Ek took the reigns on mixing (Fleet Foxes, The Shins, Band of Horses), while Peter

Katis (The National) mixed “I’m Not Coming Back.” Recording was done in several Melbourne and Sydney studios and at Gawenda’s

home in Collingwood.

Ruckers Hill is the follow up to 2012’s Forever So (SubPop). At the time Pitchfork said, “Husky's music plays much like Gawenda's lyrics

spare one moment, bursting with feeling the next. Pitched somewhere between the pristine, pocket ‐orchestral feel of early Sufjan an

The groundbreaking debut album from 1981 that plays on both the title and concept of David Byrne and Brian

Eno's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts.

Built upon sparse backing tracks constructed by Adrian Sherwood, the producer invited Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah

(who had studied under Count Ossie in the rasta drumming camp at Wareika Hill in Jamaica) to lay down hand

percussion patterns and breaks on top, augmented by stereo‐strafed effects and the occasional burst of Sun Ra‐

style horns. The result is a unique mixture of traditional African rhythms, dub and free jazz.

Features DJ favourite “Stebeni’s Theme” and “Far Away Chant”, used to famously gruesome effect by David Lync

in the film Wild At Heart.

Second album from 1982 that saw African Head Charge working manipulated and vari‐speeded 1/4 inch tape

loops that were re‐recorded back to the multi‐track, soaked in reverb and delay, and then applied to the

performances of

the

musicians,

not

to

mention

extensive

use

of

found

sounds

and

field

recordings,

hence

the

title.

The brainchild of Adrian Sherwood and percussionist Bonjo Iyabinghi Noah, the group forged their own

undefinable sound on these early albums which sound eerily contemporary, pre‐dating the experimental bass

Their third album from 1983. Described by producer Adrian Sherwood as "experiments in active frequencies, ou

of time noises, rhythms within rhythms, and endless tape edits”.

More so than most that make the claim, African Head Charge could truthfully make the assertion at this stage in

their career that the music they were making was a genre unto itself, defying categorisation. Loose echoes of

traditional African percussion music, field recordings and roots reggae inform the mix, whilst some parts conjure

up the stripped‐back post‐rock of Can or Tortoise.

Further to BDA's previous collections (Carnegie Hall & TheMinnesota Party Tape) comes the third album in the 1961 seriesof rare and previously unreleased Dylan material, this timeshowcasing an early stint at the infamous Gaslight Cafe in NYC'sGreenwich Village, and the December recordings made at hisfriend Bonnie Beecher's apartment back in Minnesota - the samevenue that witnessed the 'Party Tape' in May of the same year.

Dylan played the Gaslight a number of times but this particularperformance is one of only two for which any recordings exist - itis believed to be the set he played there on 6th September '61.Bonnie Beecher's apartment (aka the Minneapolis Hotel) was aregular stopping off point for Bob on his way home to visit hisparents in Hibbing, and while there he would often play in front ofold college friends.

Hailing from Arlington, Texas, Pantera was formed in 1981 bythe Abbott brothers - drummer Vinnie Paul and guitarist DimebagDarrell (at the time known as Diamond Darrel) - along withvocalist Terry Glaze - bassist Rex Brown joined the band thefollowing year. Starting as a glam metal band, Pantera releasedfour albums during the 1980s. Looking for a new and heaviersound, Pantera replaced Glaze with Phil Anselmo in 1987. With

its fifth album, 1990's Cowboys from Hell, Pantera introduced agroove metal sound, and the record has since been hailed as agroundbreaking work in this sub-genre. The show featured onthis CD, taken from a live FM radio Broadcast, transmitted fromThe Basement venue in Dallas, Texas, in the final weeks of1988, finds the band on the cusp of change. It would be another18 months until Pantera would release their classic Groove Metalmasterpiece, but in anticipation this gig features an earlyrendition of 'Shattered' from Cowboys from Hell as a taster ofwhat was just around the corner.

Satriani began to make his musical mark, first in San Franciscband The Squares and later with the better-known West Coaspop combo the Greg Kihn Band in 1986. In addition to his rolethese groups, Joe had already developed a burgeoning paralcareer as a guitar tutor, coaching the likes of Kirk Hammett,Steve Vai and David Bryson amongst many others. In 1985, hhad cut his debut solo album, 'Not of This Earth', which wasreleased by Relativity Records the following year.

Following his series of solo albums for Columbia, RogerMcGuinn recorded infrequently during the 1990s, so this liverecording from a 1991 concert broadcast, played at ElectricLadyland studios in New York, will have huge appeal for fansthis maverick composer and performer. Aerosmith's Done with Mirrors Tour, in support of the band's1985 comeback album, was their second live jaunt following treunion of the classic Aerosmith lineup in 1984.
