Students can catch the bus or be dropped at the oval before 9:30am. Ms Bendall will be at school for those students that are not compeng on Friday. Students must bring a drink bole and either order their lunch from the canteen or bring their own. It will be a great day. Science in the Primary Room At the Risk PS, we want our students to appreciate the wonders of science. This term we are exploring an amazing unit of work all about the Material World. Where students will be engaging in lots of hands –on acvies. During our first lesson the students were involved in experimenng with mixing liquids to form soluon. The hands-on approach is designed to inspire a future generaon of budding sciensts! Infants Class: Stage One: Lani — For reading fluently Stage One: Tonya — Wring an excellent sentence about a peacock. Primary Class: Stage 2: : Jocelyn— For improved fluency in reading. Stage 3: : Lucas - Showing leadership by helping others with athlecs . PBL focus week 3: All Settings, Keeping Hands and Feet to ourselves.

Athletics Carnival

The Kyogle District Athletics carnival is on tomorrow, at the Kyogle High School Oval. Students can

catch the bus or be dropped at the oval before 9:30am. Ms Bendall will be at school for those students

that are not competing on Friday. Students must bring a drink bottle and either order their lunch from

the canteen or bring their own. It will be a great day.

Kookaburra the Pigeon

Kookaburra the pigeon landed on the field

Kids playing soccer really squealed

He is no one’s pet

He lives where he slept

And sunflower seeds are his favourite meal

By the Primary Class

Drink Bottles

Please remember to send a drink bottle with

your child each day. We are avoiding the use

of bubblers at school and reminding students

to wash their hands regularly.

Infants Class

The Infant class are enjoying reading Tashi and the

Dancing Shoes.

Primary Poetry

Last week we had a pigeon visit our

school, students have named him

Kookaburra. The Primary class has

been studying poetry during

Literacy and wrote a limerick about

him or her.

Roxy Art Gallery Excursion

Next Thursday, K-6 will travel to Kyogle and visit some interesting places around our beautiful town.

We will leave school on the Watson’s bus at 8:30am and return before lunchtime. We will begin at the

labyrinth, then have morning tea at the amphitheatre, at 10am we will view the gallery, then visit the

museum and finally we will enjoy a session at the library listening to stories from local authors by

Corrine. Thank you to the people of our town for offering these opportunities to our students. We are

all looking forward to our excursion. We will return to school in time for lunch, followed by gymnastics

and scripture. Please remember to drop into the gallery to see the exhibition after

Wednesday 4 August.
