Bynature,weareselfishandunloving.WhenwepartakeofGod’sdivinenature;however,wefindthestrengthto lovepeoplethatwedonotevenlike.ItwassaidofthefirstChristiansthattheycould,“Outlaugh,outlive,andoutloveany-body.”TheytooktoheartthecommandofChrist,“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”(John13:34) Lovewasnotanewlawbutthestandardofmeasurewasnew.NowtheyweretolovepeoplethewayJesushadleftthem.Thisunselfish,un-conditionallovewassetforthbyPaulin1stCorin-thianschapter13.(Whichisknownas“TheLoveChapter”) God’sloveinusiswhatletstheworldknow,wearegenuine.Thisloveismorethansimplyawarmfeeling.Itisanobedientaction.Godistheonewhogavethecommand.Heistheonewhosuppliesthestrengthforustofulfillit.Toknowsuchloveistobepermanentlydifferent.Toshowsuchloveistobetakenoutsideourselves.Wefor-getourselvesandflowoutintothelivesofotherpeople.Wegiveandforgive.Webearandforbear.ThesameGodwhomadeourphysicalworldmadethespirituallaws.Weknowthatifweeatarsenicwewilldie.Yetweforgetthatwhenweputhate,jealousyandresentmentinourlives,wekilltheloveofGodwithinus.Wehavejustasmuchneedtoloveandbelovedaswehaveneedofbreadtosatisfythehungerofthebody.WithGodwehavethestrengthtohavethatneedfulfilled. Therewere times when Hewas indeed their Lordand there were timeswhen they refused toallow Him to be theirKing. They wantedtheir own way. TheywantedHimtobesub-jecttothem. But thewriterof thePsalm was different.He said, “But God is
myKingfromlongago;Hebringssalvation totheearth.”HewantedGodtobeHisRuler -HisKing. Jesus was born tobe King. There weretwelvewhomHechoseto become His dis-ciples.Andthereweremany who followedHim, listened to Him,believed in Him - yetneverfullysurrenderedtheir hearts and livesto Him. They did notallow Him to be theirKing and refused tobecome His subjects.Onedaytheyshouted:“Wewill not have thisManruleoverus!”AndtheycrucifiedHim. Many years agohundreds of collegestudents from aroundthe world met in Lon-don before going totheir mission fields.The group from Ja-pan could not attendbut sent a messagethatread,“MakeJesusKing!” We can change theworld if Jesus is Kinginourlives.Sower Ministries.org

InMatthew15:7-9,hereourLordrevealsthehy-pocrisyofthosepresent-dayJewswhoclaimtohon-orGodbuthaveresortedtoanotherformofworshipthatourLordsayswasonlythetraditionsofman.HereinAmerica,beginninghereathome,manyhaveadoptedthissamekindofworship.Hesaidthat“This people draweth nigh (assemble)unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.” Andwhatistheresultsofsuchanattempt?“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” Once again, America is known as a nation ofchurchbuildingsbutwhatdoweseetakingplacewithinthem?Upontheplaquesabovethedoorofentryreadilyidentifywhattheirdoctrineis.WhenmenneglectwhattheBiblesaysandreplaceitwithtraditionsandman-madedoctrine,arewenotiden-tifiedwiththoseourLordmentionshere? Noticeinverses12-13,thatthereligiousgroupthat were called “the righteous ones,” Pharisees,wereoffendedattheteachingsofourLord.Buthewarnedthemanywaythat“Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” Thenhesaid,“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Now,Iadmit,thatIamnieveenoughtoknowthatmylessonsareallacceptedbymen,thatsomehaveeventakenoffensebythem,butthetruthmustnotbecompromisedinanyway.IfIdid,Ineednotmakeanattempttopreach,becausemyeffortswouldbeuselesstomyselfandtoallwhoheardme. “Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”(1 Timothy 4:16)
Now,thereisnotneedtoattemptinthisarticletomentionandidentifyeverydoctrinetaughtbychurcheshereisthisveryarea,butthisIwilldeclare,thatmostwillnotaccept,meetwith,oridentifywitheachother.Whyisthis?Thedevilisbehinditall.HewasabletoseparateAdamandEvefromtheirfel-lowshipwithGodbyaddingjustonewordtoGod’sinstruction.So,whatisouronlyconclusion?Theydevilhas,andcontinues,todivide,destroyandanni-hilateanyformofplaintruthfromman’sworship.Heisdoinghisbestworkinthenameofdifferentdoc-trines.EventhoughourLordonlybuiltonechurch,hischurch(seeMatthew16:13-19)andhasgivenonlyoneplantosavemen’ssouls(Acts2:37-49),stillmenpersistinlisteningtoothermentothedelightofthedevil.Yousee,allassemblieshavetoteachsometruthtoexistandappearrighteous,butthedevildoesnotcarehowmuchispreachedaslongasthepartthatwherebymenaresavedisnotplainlyandtruthfullyproclaimed. So,inthemidstofallthisreligiousconfusion,justwhatshouldapersontrulyseekingtogotoheavendo?First, Isuggestareading,searching,obeyingwhatiswritteninthelawbook,theBible.InJohn5:39,Jesussays,“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” So,ifyouwanttoknowallthetruth,readyourBible,believeandtrustitsprecepts;thenhavethefortitudetoobeytheminspiteofwhatyouhaveheardotherssay.Remember,othermenwillnotbejudgeduponthatgreatday.OnthisdayallmankindwillanswertoJesus.2Corinthians5:10declaresit. DonotlettraditionorfalseteachingskeepyououtofHeaven!Rememberthis:truthdoesnotde-penduponhowmanypeoplemayfollowacertainfaithorhowlongtheymayhavebelievedacertainplanorparentalinclusion,butitdoesdependuponwhatdoestheLordsayandwhatdoestheLordre-quire.Thisistheonlysafewaytoliveanddie.
