Heavy Marshal – Fighter practice is going well. If there is a possibility of snow that

results in a cancellation of after-school activities in Howard County, fighter practice will

also be cancelled.

Rapier Marshal – Practice is going well

Archery Marshal – Quiet, practice will resume in the spring.

Chiurgeon – NtR

Minister of the List: Lord Gabrell continues his certification process

Herald – Warrant has been received. Lady Shannon is working with one individual on

their name. Event report has been submitted.

Chronicler – NtR

Web Minister – Web page is up to date. Lord Santiago requires the names of those

who received an Award of Excellence at Midwinter’s.

Chancellor Minor – Lady Christiana has sent in the report. She will be coordinating

Children’s Activities at Defending the Gate. Requests have gone out from the

Children’s Fete Coordinator seeking volunteers.

Chatelaine – Mistress Eibhlinn thanked everyone for making the newcomers welcome at

Midwinter’s Revel. Lady Shannon has completed the form and is submitting to become

Lochmere’s Chatelaine.

Seneschal – Lord Padre has submitted the 4th quarter report. A group of us visited the

Ilchester site recently to determine suitability of site for either a Kingdom or Baronial

level event.

Polling: Padre will begin to work on the Polling after Spring Crown.

Midwinter’s Revel – Mistress Arianna thanked everyone for their help, the event went

very well.

Night on the Town – The event was moved from the original date for Coronation.

Padre is waiting for Camp Barrett to return his call; however, there is some concern that

we would not be able to use the site on Easter weekend. Padre is also looking at

5

Crooms or Kings Landing as a potential site. Padre remains hopeful as this event is a

generator of funds that is useful as we are down approximately $3,200.00 from last

year.

On Target – Moving forward, pricing the cost of the pig. Lady Christiana has agreed to

prepare lunch as a fund raiser for the Barony. Contract will be available within the next

week. Acquiring Marshellette crew.

Pennsic – Registered as a group. Sir Christian has volunteered to drive the truck.

Please send Master Reynard your tent measurements. Reminder – Troll is $40 this

year. Baroness Dealla is considering scheduling a bed-making workshop, possibly

early June.

Baronial Birthday/Investiture – Camp Barrett will cost $1,300 for 125 or less

attendees. It will cost $350 more for more than 125 attendees. Options are to increase

fees, limit the number of people, look for a new site or change to a day trip event. If we

change to a 1 day Event, the cost will reduce to $900. Lady Saige is checking to see if

we can set up the site if only using as 1 day Event.

Midwinter’s Revel 2011 – An autocrat may have been identified.

New Business

Lady Christiana shared with the group the possible moving of Coronation to October,

pushing back Fall University. June University has also been moved this year, affecting

the original date of the Golden Rose Event. Now looking at the 2nd weekend of July or

possibly September or November.

The Ilchester site fee has increased. In addition to the site fee, there is a $750 fee for

the hall, increasing the cost of the site to $1,040 for a weekend. We need the dates of

availability for this site and more information for Kingdom. Parking may be an issue for

use as a Crown Tournament site.

Discussion followed regarding the Hollywood Fire Department site for a November

Crown, plenty of parking, large hall, suitable kitchen, however, uncertain of field space

size.

The next business meeting will be on Monday, March 1st at 7:15 p.m. at the Severna

Park Library.
