Perhaps it’s time to consider getting more physically active. (Always consult your physician before beginning any exercise regimen.)
~1000 Active enough to reduce risks of heart disease and diabetes by 20-30%.
Walk, take a yoga class, get out and garden for 30 min.,
5 days /week~1500 Maintain an existing body weight, in addition to
reducing risks of heart disease and diabetes.Go jogging, biking, or play soccer for 45 min., 5 days /
week~2000 Long and short term weight loss, as well as
significantly reducing risks of heart disease and diabetes.
Run or play some volleyball with friends for 50 min. every day of the week
Notes on Methodology
• People are likely to overestimate their physical activity levels by as much as 30%.
• The majority of participants had incomes above $60,000 and had graduated from University.
• Seasonal effects due to data collection in the summer months.
• Computer skills and access to the internet.• Unlikelihood of inactive individuals filling out a
physical activity survey.

Conclusions
• Although 72% of survey respondents aged 18 and over indicate that they exercise regularly, our survey results suggests that only about 37% are likely exercising enough to actually realize the most significant levels of health benefits.
• ~25% that are doing minimal to no physical activity resulting in a number of potential health problems
