This particular meetup group was created to reach out to all of those in the Ashland area who yearn to help this country return to the principles and moral val-ues upon which it was founded. Our meetings are every other Friday at Illini Propane, 220 N. Yates Street in Ashland. Our next meetup is scheduled for September 11th at 7:00 p.m.. Hope to see you there! Clayville Fun-D

Day

Have you noticed how great Clayville looks? All of the work

has been done by volunteers. A Pleasant Plains Historical

Society has been formed to proceed with the restoration of

Clayville.

On Sat., Sept. 5, there will be an all-day fund-raiser with fun

for everyone. A car cruise-in will begin at 10 am. Several

antique tractors and motorcycles are also expected. Games

and activities for kids will go on all day. Food will be in abun-

dance with the Boy Scouts selling lemonade and popcorn, the

Lutheran Men cooking hot dogs, and the community club

fixing barbeque and pork wings on a stick (who says pigs

don’t fly?)

A highlight of the day will be a Western Gun Show. At 5:30,

Jim Davis will call for an old-fashioned square dance, with

Judy, Lois and Friends providing the music. At dusk, the

movie “McClintok”, starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara

will be shown outdoors.

Bring your lawn chairs and appetites for a day of fun!

Also included on this site will be A-C Central’s yearbooks.
