Canal station is a contemporary mixed-use condominium development, located in the heart of the historic Ballard district. Built in 2007, the building’s exterior boasts warm details that conjure the classic feel of small-town living while remaining thoroughly urban and up-to-date. The six story triangular building is classically styled with a smoothly rounder glass prow pointing towards the water, a subtle nod to Ballard’s rich maritime history. Floor plans include junior one-bedroom, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom plus den units. All homes include a fireplace, cherry or maple kitchen cabinetry, and a spacious balcony in most of the units. Canal Station was developed by Continental Properties, the same developer credited for building Canal Station North and Ballard Place. The addition of these condominium properties has helped revitalize Ballard into a more eclectic and trend setting community.
