No visit to Malaga is complete without a visit to the
Atarazanas market. The market is more commonly known to Malagueños as the ‘Mercado central.’ As with most landmarks in Malaga, it is richly steeped in history, dating back hundreds of years. The name Atarazanas is Arabic and when translated literally means a ‘place where ships are repaired’. Under Moorish rule, the market was the site of an important shipbuilding yard, with the sea lapping right up to its door. Although hard to believe now, most of current day Malaga was underwater during the Moorish rule and the Atarazanas was right at the sea’s edge.There are records well into the 18th century of people still fishing from the market (ship building yard’s) walls.Wandering around the market is a joy. The Arabic archways, the carefully forged iron
works and the stained glass windows, all open up into a paradise of fresh food and spices. The market itself is a blaze of colours, sounds and smells. The people are pure exhibitionists and full of life. The natural warmth of the Malagueños, leaves visitors feeling completely energised and ready for more. The place is a buzz of activity and most definitely worth a visit. Situated right in the heart of Malaga, it is also a place that is easy to miss. People tend to walk by it immersed in the goings on around them. So, if shopping for fresh, local produce at fantastic prices is what you are looking for, then head straight for the Atarazanas market, you will not be disappointed.

Hay registros de que hasta bien entrado el siglo XVIII la gente todavía pescaba desde los muros del mercado (astillero naval). Pasear por el mercado es una alegría. Los arcos árabes, los cuidadosos trabajos de hierro forjado y las vidrieras, donde todas se abren a un paraíso de alimentos frescos y especias. El mercado en sí es un resplandor de colores, sonidos y olores. La gente es puramente exhibicionista y llena de vida. El calor natural del Malagueño, le harán sentirse lleno de energía y estar listo para más. El lugar es un bullicio de actividad y sin duda merece una visita. Situado justo en el corazón de Málaga, lugar donde también es fácil perderse. La gente tiende a caminar por ella inmersa en lo que pasa en su alrededor. Pero si la compra de productos locales frescos a precios fantásticos es lo que usted está buscando, entonces vaya directamente al mercado de Atarazanas, no quedará defraudado.

swimming pool look absolutely spectacular with floating candles.Floating candles made for pools come in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and designs ranging from romantic looking flowers to whimsical shapes including starfish and ladybirds. Lighting your pool candles at dusk gives your guests plenty of time to enjoy the shimmering effect of the candles on the water. Depending on the specific candles you choose, burn time generally lasts from five to fifteen hours.Some of the most popular questions about floating candles in a pool are how to keep the candles from gathering too close together and at one end of the pool.Besides asking nature for “no wind” on the day of your event, you can firstly turn off your filtering motor. The less water movement that you have the better. To help your floating candles from grouping together, get some dental floss, a paper clip and a small weight like a washer from your tool box. Tie one end of the dental floss to the washer and the other end to a paper clip. Use an old candle and melt the paper clip end of the floss to the bottom of your floating candle. A fishing line and sinker work well, too. Your candles may move around a little bit, but they will generally stay in the area that you chose. It’s a time consuming project but the finished affect is quite spectacular and one that your guests will enjoy throughout the evening.

As we all know, walking barefoot in summertime
together with a lack of moisturising elements and improper care of your feet, especially dry feet, causes the painful cracked heels syndrome that seems to come around each and every summer. It’s a very dibilitating ailment but it can be cured, and quickly. In this article I want to offer you a somewhat bizarre remedy which works like magic. If you have tried everything else and yet you have not been able to cure cracked heels, then you need to give this wax treatment a try. If you can get it, you will need paraffi n wax. If not, you can use the wax melted from a regular household candle lying around your home. For this, fi rst remove the wick and collect some of the pieces of the candle. Now take some mustard oil. Heat the wax and the mustard oil together until it creates a paste. After soaking your feet in warm water and scrubbing the dry skin off, apply this wax-mustard oil paste onto your heel cracks. If you have deep cracks, fi ll this wax paste into the cracks. Having applied the wax you will need to put

Si puedes conseguirla, necesitaría cera de parafi na. Si no es así, puede utilizar la cera derretida de una vela ordinaria que encuentre por la casa. Si tiene grietas profundas, llene esta pasta de cera en en las grietas. Después de haber aplicado la cera tendrá que ponerse un par de calcetines y descansar con los pies elevados (si se acuesta con sus pies con algo de nivel está bien). El tratamiento será más efectivo si lo hace justo antes de irse a la cama. Hagalo durante una semana y usted se sorprenderá de cómo las grietas se van curando. Guarde la pasta de aceite de cera de mostaza en una botella. La próxima vez que lo necesite, sólo tendrá que calentarlo y aplicar de la misma manera.

Do it for about a week and you will be astonished at how the cracks have healed. Save the wax-mustard oil paste in a bottle. truly under way we are all enjoying fantastic summer days by the pool, on the beach and in the sea and what great days these are, fun filled days spent with family and friends. However, as much as I enjoy lazy days spent in the sunshine and splashing in the waves, for me, the best of summertime comes once the sun goes down and the cocktail hour begins. And as you sit back with your favourite blend of spirits, juice and mixers, give a thought to the history of what you are drinking. For example, did you know that one of the earliest written references describing a cocktail appears in an American magazine in 1806, saying it is a stimulating liquor, composed of spirit of

It is generally accepted that the ‘Martini’ was one of the first cocktails to be recognised and named - although there is some argument about who created the first Martini and where and when. Especially for summer, here’s a fresh, new way to tickle
your taste buds. This recipe is quick and easy and transforms a relatively ordinary fish dish into a super summer meal.So begin with two two salmon fillets, sprinkle them with lemon juice and place on a plate in the microwave oven on a low setting for a few minutes, until they are almost cooked.For the zingy topping, mix together desiccated coconut, a small red chilli pepper - finely chopped, half a teaspoon of wholegrain mustard, a dessert spoon of mayonnaise, freshly-chopped coriander, a twist of black pepper and enough milk to make the mixture easily spreadable. Mix all these delightful ingredients together ready to place onto the salmon.Carefully transfer the salmon fillets from the microwave oven onto a baking tray, spread the zingy topping mixture over the salmon and pop them under a medium grill for 3-4 minutes.This crusty topping will work well on any white fish or chicken and really gives the fish a fresh new flavour for summer. The Huracan (pronounced who-rah-khan) makes a
strong first impression. Even with the gorgeous scenery surrounding the Ascari Race Resort here in southern Spain, the beautiful collection of hexagons and hard, angry angles easily commands attention. The design typifies the exuberance expected from a Lamborghini, and as the replacement for the Gallardo, the best-selling car in the company’s 51-year history, the Huracan needs to do just that.Turning on the ignition requires flipping a bright-red flap that covers the start button. Press that button and a naturally aspirated screamer erupts: 5.2 litres worth of dry-sump V-10 that eagerly spins to 8500 rpm and you can feel each and every one of them. After you’ve finished revving the engine and giggling at the pops the exhaust makes, you might notice the improved interior. The supportive and
comfortable seats offer a good driving position, though rearward visibility remains minimal at best (but who cares what is behind you). The steering wheel feels good in your hands and the indicators, wipers, high beam, and drive-mode select controls are all on the wheel itself putting everything within easy reach. The 12.3-inch TFT LCD screen behind the wheel shows a pleasantly large tachometer, and has a range of displays that includes a full-screen map.As I drove the bright-green Huracan, the electromechanical steering felt great on corner entry and although I felt the chassis still lacked the balance of its competitors, the car applied power deliciously and with incredible control. In hardware and design, the Huracan makes a great successor to the Gallardo but only time will tell if it will outsell the company’s current star of the show.

Benajarafe is a delightful stretch of coastline located 14 kilometres
from Málaga between Rincon de la Victoria and Torre del Mar. As you arrive at the pretty seaside resort with its oasis of palm trees and banana plants, beach beds, chiringuitos and even a Bay Watch style lifeguard look out post, you cannot help but be impressed. It is simply a lovely place to visit if you want fun on the beach, great food or just to relax and enjoy its many bars and restaurants located on both sides of the palm tree lined coast road. Notice the 18th century lookout tower, named the Torre Moya or Torre Gordo (Fat Tower) standing silently watching from above, perhaps passively remembering its duty long ago when it warned the towns people of pirate attacks.
