PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN (Never known to fail)Oh, most beautiful flower of Mt. Carmel, fruitful vine splendor of Heaven. Blessed Mother of the Son of God. Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me, herein you are my mother. Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth! I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to answer me in this necessity. There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, show me herein you are my mother. Oh, Mary con- ceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee (3x). Holy Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands (3x). Holy Spirit, you who solve all problems, light all roads so that I can attain my goal, you who gave me the divine gift to forgive and forget all evil against me and that in all instances in my life you are with me. I want in this short prayer to thank you for all things as you confirm once again that I never want to be separated from you in eternal glory. Thank you for your mercy towards me and mine. The person must say this prayer 3 consecutive days, after 3 days the request will be granted. This prayer must be published after the favor is granted. Thank you for favor received. C. P.

Relay for LifeCOLONIE – The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life is returning to Albany-Colonie on June 8 at 6pm through 6am June 9 at Christian Brothers Academy, 12 Airline Drive, Colonie. The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life event is an overnight cel-ebration of hope and survivorship. Teams camp out and take turns walking a track throughout the night in honor of those who have fought cancer and in memory of those who are no longer with us. Funds raised through Relay For Life support the lifesaving work of the American Cancer Society. Each Relay kicks off with a survivor lap, where survivors walk the first lap of the event and are honored by the other attendees. Anyone in the community who is a survivor and would like to take part in this lap is encouraged to register. This Lap will start at 7pm. When the sun goes down, the entire com-munity is invited to watch the lighting of hundreds of luminaria in a moving ceremony honoring those who survived the cancer fight and remembering loved ones lost to the disease. This emotional lap will start at 10pm. For more information on the Relay For Life of Albany-Colonie or the American Cancer Society, call 1-800-227 -2345 or visit www.relayforlife.org/albanycolonieNY. Let these films satisfy your need for speedCar guys and gals love their vehicles, but they also love their movies about cars. When not tooling around in your ride this spring and sum-mer, the following car movies should satisfy your need for speed.

Bullitt (1968): Steve Mc-Queen stars as the San Fran-cisco cop looking to find the kingpin who killed the wit-ness under his protection. The actor did much of the driving of the ‘68 Mustang in this movie, leaving only the riski-est maneuvers to his stunt double.

American Graffiti (1973): A coming of age movie set in the 1960s about four teen-agers going off to college. They spend one last summer cruising the Sunset Strip and getting into trouble. Star-ring Richard Dreyfuss, Har-rison Ford and Ron Howard, this classic was directed by George Lucas of “Star Wars” fame.

The Cannonball Run (1983): Eccentric competitors engage in an illegal cross-country car race. A who’s who of stars, including Burt Reynolds, Jackie Chan, Far-rah Fawcett, Dom DeLuise, and Dean Martin star in this action-packed flick.

Gone in Sixty Seconds (2000): A retired car thief must get back into the busi-ness, stealing 50 cars in one night to save the life of his brother. Stars Nicholas Cage and Angelina Jolie.
