Last month we talked about the importance of being willing to test
different things in your business. Because truly, the only way to know for
sure if something works - is to test it. Here's a few of the things we tested
and ideas for you to use this month.
What Worked? We certainly had a few wins in May. Surprisingly,
Instagram ads - with the conversion objective, performed really well for us.
We saw leads within the $2.50 - $3.50 range compared to the Facebook
mobile newsfeed at $3.67 - $4.50 range. We are testing audiences that had
engaged with us on Facebook and on Instagram and are happy with the
result. We also noticed a significant increase in our Instagram followers
while these ads were running.
What Didn't Work? Ever hear of the term "Ad Fatigue"? It's when you run
an amazing ad and all of a sudden your ad costs spike from $4 average to
about $6 or $7 per lead. After holding out and letting it ride to see if it
corrected itself, we realized that our amazing ad with high engagement,
was simply fatigued. We recreated the ad image and ad copy, relaunched it,
and were able to get our lead cost back down to $4 average.
What's Next? Our entire online marketing process - step by step training
