    curriculum• assists in efficient use of lecturer resources to create, monitor, and

    evaluate SULAM courses

  • What are the barriers to e-SULAM?

    • SULAM in a ‘traditional’ form already requires extra work on the part of lecturers to create community partnerships, support students in connecting with service opportunities, maintain communication with community partner, incorporate reflection and assessment, etc.

    • Some lecturers who are highly committed to SULAM abandon their SULAM efforts when migrating to teaching online because they view the online medium as a barrier to SULAM.
