Is it time for you to step up?
I thank God for the leadership of our
congregation. We are blessed with
people of faith and commitment and
gifts and skills. Except for two areas. They are a Coordina-
tor of Worship and a Coordinator of Outreach.
These require someone to contact six (6) other people six
(6) times a year and ask them if they have a report or a min-
istry need to bring to our Church Council. Then those two
Coordinators attend six (6) Church Council meetings a year
and report.
Wil you prayerfully consider being one of these two
Coordinators? Then contact me.

Stewardship Corner
“That’s My Steward!”
My wife June and I are in a Bible study led by Pastor David called “Bowen’s Books”.
We are studying a series of David’s favorite books he has read over the years. The
one we are reading and studying now is The Grave Robber: How Jesus Can Make
Your Impossible Possible by Mark Batterson. It’s a book written in an easy to under-
stand, storytelling style. Well worth the read.
Chapter 4 is about Jesus’s first sign or miracle – water into wine. There’s a story in that chapter about Joel
Buckner, a gifted singer-songwriter and worship leader. Jesus’s first sign was a door opener for his ministry
on earth. Joel’s “door opener” was when he was twelve and sang “In Christ Alone” by Michael English at his
church. It made his mother cry! Batterson writes, “I’m pretty sure his heavenly Father shed a tear of joy too!
Nothing makes God happier than when we use our God-given gifts to glorify Him…I imagine the Father turn-
ing to the nearest angel and saying, ‘That’s My boy!’ .”
According to Romans 12:6 “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use
them…” (NKJV)
“Stewardship” doesn’t always have to be about money. We all have other gifts. If you have a little time, be on
a church committee or help with some ministry within the church – there’s lots to choose from. You don’t have
to be a “chairperson” to contribute to God’s work. If you have talents, put them to use somewhere. Maybe the
choir director could use some help sorting music or perhaps you could make coffee for the fellowship time
between early and late worship service, or…
Perhaps when you use those God-given talents God will turn to the nearest angel and say, “That’s my Stew-
ard!”
See you in worship.

Tom Murphy

Preschool Registration
It is hard to believe that it is time to register for the next school year. Send in the registration form
and full registration fee to ensure your spot by March 15. Due to problems this year, we cannot
hold a spot without the registration fee. If you cancel your spot by July 1, you will receive half of
registration fees back.
Current students, siblings, and church members will be guaranteed a spot for next year, if regis-
tered by March 15. I do feel we will fill up quickly, so do not let the March 15 deadline pass you
by. There may not be any spots available later in the spring. If you need an application (available
after Feb. 15) or have any questions, please let us know.
