Today we hear the story of a very powerman was a centurion he was a soldier who had 100

under him. Whenever he told somebody

to do something, he did it! Whenever he

told somebody to go somewhere, he

went!

But still, this centurion came to Jesus and

asked HIMfor something. He didnt tellHim to do it. He asked Him. The centu-

rions servant was sick, and the centurion

knew that Jesus Christ could make him

better. Christ told him, I will come and

heal him. But the centurion told Christ, I

am not worthy for you to come to my

house, but only say the word, and he will be

healed.

Who is the most powerful person you know? Your parents?

The bishop? The president? Nobody is more powerful than

is more loving.

Lets all follow the great example of this centurion. He knewdidnt mean anything. He knew that God was the one with t

Have you known somebody who was sick? Sdont know what to do, except be sad or feel sorry f

But God and the saints are here to help

us. They listen to our prayers. We just

have to ask them, and they will ask God

to help us and help our sick friend or

relative!St. Panteleimon is a great saint to pray to

when somebody is sick. He lived many years

ago, and died in the year 303. He was a doc-

tor, but he used medicine andhis faith in

God to heal his patients.

Once, St. Panteleimon helped a blind man

see again. He also told him about Jesus

Christ. The man was so happy that he told other people

had happened. Soon, other people started to become C

The Roman authorities were not happy about this beca

We can pray to St. Panteleimon when anybody is sick. And
