Sunday, May 19, we will be led in worship by ourelementary-aged children at 9 and 11 a.m. You will notwant to miss this experience!!

Those who attended this service in the past can givewitness to the powerful way God uses our children asconduits of grace to speak to our hearts. We will get aglimpse of how each child is, "Growing Up in Christ" asthey lead us in worship.

Our precious children will lead every element in theworship service. One special treat will be seeing thegroup name each of the books of the Bible with a littlesong. They will do all this with the purest faith. You willsee Christ in each child. Who could ask for anythingelse from a worship experience?

I've been reflecting lately on the physical and spiritualdevelopmental processes. I see the growth our childrenand youth have experienced in body and soul since Ihave been here for six years.

The confirmands we received into church membershipwere first graders when I arrived. The fifth graders whowill preach on Sunday were in Kindergarten. My howthey have grown in body and spirit!

Also, I have seen amazing growth in the children who arein Pre-K this year. These students began the schoolyear with shyness and still speaking in what I call "late-

baby-talk." You will see Sunday how nine months ofparental nurture, schooling, and children's ministry hashelped them grow physically, socially, and spiritually. They are all growing up right before our eyes.

Truth is, we are all expected to continue "Growing Up inChrist." Can you see growth in your life?

Children's Led WorshipThis Sunday, May 19, at 9 and 11

Our children worked on final preparations for Sunday'sChildren's-Led Worship service.

The Administrative Board voted unanimously onTuesday, May 14, to move forward with the finalstages of detail planning for the new Family LifeCenter.

The Building Committee will instruct our architects tocomplete the detailed drawings as soon as possible.Once these plans are in our hands, ParrishConstruction, our construction manager, will be ableto give us a firm projection on the total cost.

Then, the projected cost will allow the FinanceCommittee and church leaders to explore and devisea financing plan to will move this project forward.

Meanwhile, the Capital Campaign Committee will usethe summer to prepare for events to invite those whoare new to the church to participate in phase one ofour Great Tradition--Greater Future campaign. Also,the team will begin making preparation for the second3 year campaign that will begin in the winter/spring of2020.

We are thankful for all those who have generously andsacrificially given to invest in expanding our facilitiesso that we can be channels of God's grace to currentand future generations.

Children's Camp Registration

Registration is open for children's camp at CampKulaqua in Florida.

"The Greatest Show" will be held June 24-28, 2019. Children who have completed 3rd - 5th grade are invitedto attend.

Informational meeting on May 29 at 5 p.m., June 2 at 4 p.m. and June 5 at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Campersand parents must attend one meeting in order to go tocamp. Sign up here by Friday, May 24!

Youth Camp Registration Registration is now open for youth camp that will be July7-13, 2019 at Indian Springs State Park.

Foster Family Support of MiddleGeorgia

May is National Foster Care Month. We are collecting

clothing and other necessities for Foster Family Support

of Middle Georgia, a foster care closet that serves

Houston, Twiggs, Peach, and Crawford counties.

Their current needs are toothbrushes with covers,diapers (size 3-6), pull-ups (all sizes), wipes (all kinds),and overnights (pull-on disposable underwear).

All items can be dropped off in the church office.

Altar Flowers

We have openings coming up for Altar Flowers on May 26, June 16, June 23 and June 30. There arealso many Sundays available.

If you would like to place flowers in the Sanctuary forour Sunday service, please contact Emilee in the churchoffice at 987-1852 or email her here.

Once signed up, you select your own florist and givethem the details about your preferred arrangement andwe will also publish a dedication of the flowers in ourbulletin.

Prime Time Pigeon Forge andSmokey Mountain Trip

We will be taking a motor coach October 14-18, 2019and traveling to the Smokey Mountains!
