STUDENT REPORTS
Student reports will be sent home to parents on 11 December. Staff have already met with parents where needed.
If after receiving your child’s report you’d like to speak with your classroom teacher please don’t hesitate to make an
appointment for a meeting.
A KIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (School Musical)
My sincere thanks to staff, parents and all our fabulous students who made it possible to
hold such a successful major event in our first year! By all accounts, parents were very
pleased with the production and were extremely proud of their kids.
Please note: You can secure a copy of the DVD through the Administration Office.
LOCAL CHRISTMAS APPEAL
The local Christmas appeal is proudly supporting the Coastal District Care
Community; St Vincent De Paul and The Salvation Army in helping local
people during this period.
Donations of non-perishable food and unwrapped gifts for children and adults are
needed by 3 December. If you would like to donate you can simply bring donations to the
school and we’ll coordinate the drop off for you. Alternatively, you can drop them directly
to Paul Papalia’s Office at Unit 10A, 2 Oasis Drive Secret Harbour. See the flyer in this
newsletter.
SCHOOL SONG
Our school song has been written and trialled by our choir. We look forward to sharing it
with you.

Kindy Café is being held here at school on Tuesday 8 December starting at 9am. You will
meet key people involved in your child’s education and will be given a ‘take home’ bag of
goodies to help you prepare your child for a positive start to school.
I look forward to seeing you and your child on the day.

GOLDEN BAY DENTAL THERAPY CENTRE
DENTAL NEWS
HEALTHY SNACKS
Establishing healthy eating habits from a young age not only benefits our dental health
but leads to good dietary health in general. Sugar in our diet is a major factor in tooth
decay.
By only offering a variety of nutritious foods as snacks we can help maintain not only
healthy teeth but a healthy body also.
It is not possible to avoid sugar altogether so limit to occasional, try to have with a meal
and avoid in between meals. Go for a healthy choice like cheese, fruit and vegetables,
dips and crackers.
WHEN YOU NEED A DRINK
Did you know soft drinks, fruit juice; energy and sport drinks are all very high in sugar
content.
These drinks are generally highly acidic also, which can cause tooth erosion.
Recommended drink of choice is plain old WATER, it’s cheap and thirst quenching.
Alternatively plain milk in moderation is okay.
