consumers  and  business  a  place  for  

discussion.     Refers  to  the  loca9on  and  proximity  of  the  business  and  the  

consumer.    

Refers  to  the  smartphones  and  

mobile  devices  use  by  consumers.  

SoLoMo  is  an  acronym  that  applies  to  the  integra9on  of  one’s  social  media  pla1orms  and  physical  loca9on  with  

one’s  mobile  device.  

For  businesses,  SoLoMo  represents  an  opportunity  to  micro-­‐target  

prospects  and  consumers  wherever,  whenever,  with  contextually-­‐relevant  content,  informa9on  or  promo9on  that  is  also  designed  to  be  shared  on  

social  media.

Through  the  innova9on  of  different  entrepreneurs  and  businesses,  SoLoMo  also  answers  and  provides  to  the  needs  of  the  market.  The  integra9on  of  Social,  Loca9on  and  Mobile  gives  the  consumers  more  ways  to  make  us  of  their  smartphones  and  make  daily  tasks  easier  and  enjoyable.  Just  like  how  “Vaastrafikk”  created  an  

applica9on  that  makes  travelling  cheaper  and  easier  and  how  “ShopKick”  makes  shopping  more  rewarding  and  enjoyable.  

SoLoMo in the next 2 years

In  the  next  2  years,  I  believe  that  SoLoMo  will  be  used  by  different  companies  here  in  the  Philippines  and  abroad.  SoLoMo  will  be  a  staple  and  a  need  for  these  companies  because  with  the  technological  advancements  and  the  people’s  rampant  use  of  their  mobile  devices,  it  is  possible  that  people  can  do  everyday  transac9ons  with  the  use  of  

their  mobile  device.  

SoLoMo in the next 2 years

I  also  believe  that  more  applica9ons  will  be  created  to  integrate  tasks  not  usually  done  using  mobile  devices.  Adver9sers  will  certainly  make  use  of  SoLoMo  in  aDrac9ng  

consumers  to  try  and  bye  their  products.
