Here Is a walk through on some of my social media pages during this class. I am still trying to learn to keep up with more than one type of social media but find that I just don’t have time.

Privacy Policies and Buyer Beware1. You choose to use Facebook which is a social networking tool and application. If any of the information you have posted or listed is not something you want to take the chance of another company or person getting hold of your information, then don't put it on Facebook or just don't use it.

2. The privacy policy fairly prominent in that they don't hide it. They make sure you have an opportunity to check the box saying you have read and agree to the terms. In most cases because of how those things are written most people really don't want to take the time to read the entire text, so they check the box and go on. So the buyer is at fault on this one. But, I would have to say that something should be done to make the terms either easier to read or something shorter and to the point. Maybe even have an audio play through before you can proceed. A bother I know but that way you couldn't say you didn't read it.

3. Companies have been data for ever and they can only take what you put out there.

4. I do think Facebook should stop making changes that open and or allow more information to be released, but it is a money making decision they have to make banking on the fact that they wont lose users over the decisions.

5.  I also think that as is mentioned in the WSJ article, that because of how the web is designed and passes information allowing us to navigate the web, this causes issues with privacy because of the information that arrives when we land on web pages. Maybe a redesign there might be a good start.

Re: Two wrongs don't make a right... The only problem is when you purchase something and then want to copy for your own use,

they have almost made it now where you cant even do that without buying more than one copy sometimes because they wont le t you use it on more than one type device. Movies for instance. You can either copy in iTunes format or windows media format. I think that if you buy iy you should be able to do with it what you want for your personal use. Like you said it does come down to an issue of personal ethics which are hard to police.

Copyright laws apply to digital materials in the same way they apply to physical materials. And because the internet makes infringement so cheap and easy, it must become an ethical issue. Something we all must take responsibility for concerning our actions. If you do get caught using somebody elses work whether copying music, taping that movie, or stealing illustrations and so forth you are breaking the law. Doing whats right even when the wrong thing is easier, and you know you won't get caught still isn't right--somebody out there put their talent and time into creating what ever it is somebody else wants to steal and/or profit from. Just because an application is out there that lets you download whatever doesn't mean you have the right to do so.

My Word Press blog postsRecently I have gone back to doing something I love,

teaching/coaching. When I was 17, I was teaching skiing at a local ski area in Angel Fire New Mexico and after I graduated highschool, I had moved away mountain and a sport  truly loved. Years later in 1985, I picked up a new sport, volleyball both indoor and outdoor and have been playing ever since. Until recently I hadn’t found myself in a place to really coach volleyball because my passion was to play. Well the years of ball have taken a toll on my shoulder and I am having to pull back a bit and relearn hitting with my left arm. Since I am not playing at the same level I figured why not try coaching. I can still play, just not as hard and teach at the same time. So here I am some many years later coaching a girls club team in Moore Oklahoma.
