CARTA DE NOTICIAS AUGUST 2015 Dear Friends, We are thrilled to be writing after such a long time and to share news from our children in Medellin. CARTA DE NOTICIAS AUGUST 2015

Dear Friends, We are thrilled to be writing after such a long time and to share news from our children in Medellin. Seminar We’re pleased to tell you that nine of our children participated in a research seminar offered by the secretary of education and Medellin city hall. They each received a certificate for their good behaviour, responsibility and punctuality.

Graduation Omar Maturana received his degree in business administration. The same day he graduated, he left for Cartagena to attend the Discipleship Training School (DTS). Camp We’d like to thank each one of the supporters of the camp that we organized for the children last month. The kids enjoyed it, and they were able to know more about the father heart of God, which was the main theme of the camp.

An Unexpected Goodbye

Jorge Colmenares, leader of Missionary Training in Medellin, brother, spiritual father of many and a great friend, went suddenly to be with the Lord July 19 at 58 years of age. We miss him more that words can express. At the same time we thank God for all that Jorge sowed into our lives. We also want to thank all of our friends who sent their condolences and offerings to help with the funeral expenses.

Community & Medical Outreach in Pajarito We carried out the second health brigade for 2015, which attracted the attention of the community of Pajarito and of families who live nearby. We identified the following problems:

Extreme poverty, orphans, poor access to basic services like health and education, poor sanitary conditions, and teen pregnancies We worked in several different areas: medicine, laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, bacteriology, and dentistry

We served primarily families with children under 12 years of age, pregnant women, and a large number of seniors, approximately 636 people in total.

Fish Farm Project We want to carry out a self-sufficient project where we raise red Tilapia to sell as well as to feed the 50 children in our orphanage and the staff.

We’re developing this project to reduce costs and become more self-sufficient. We already have a piece of land! However, now we need to create the lakes for the fish and buy the fry.

Prayer Requests

The lakes and fry for the fish farm.

God’s provision in every area of the ministry.

A bilingual secretary, assistant for the Director, and suitable staff to work with the children

Thank you so much for your prayers and support. God Bless You Lots!
