Interdepartmental Science & Technology Center "Agrobiotech“ NAS and MES of Ukraine was founded in 2000 for the purpose of

strengthening of state regulation in the field of development of ecologically safe plant growth regulators, acceleration their

introduction in agriculture of Ukraine and export abroad.

NE ISTC Agrobiotech has license of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine for manufacture of 15 biostimulants (certified as PGRs).

Products are protected by 32 patents of Ukraine, 4 patents of the Russian Federation.

They are certified for use in:

Advantages: on mining of Chinese farmers our PGRs are working as “Tears of Angels” – in such small quantities and with high efficacy.

PGRs are characterized by high efficiency, low doses of using (20-30 ml per 1 ton of seed or 1 hectare of crops) and ecological safety (1 m2 gets 1*10-9 g of active substance). It is nanobio-ecotechnology of XXI centure.

The technologies of their application coincide with

existing agromethods.

The mechanism of the physiological

action at the cellular level

1. 1. Over the past 15 years, much Over the past 15 years, much attention is paid to the isolation of attention is paid to the isolation of eukaryotic from cells and eukaryotic from cells and determination of the biological role of determination of the biological role of small regulatory RNAs (small small regulatory RNAs (small regulatory RNA) in RNAi (RNA regulatory RNA) in RNAi (RNA interference), which is called interference), which is called posttranscriptional gene silencing posttranscriptional gene silencing

(PTGS) in plants, animals and fungi(PTGS) in plants, animals and fungi..

Page 13: Presentation 2015 eng s

2. Gene silencing is a process which results in either degradation or blocking of the translation of mRNA target molecules, it is of great importance in the adaptive virus resistance in protecting of the genome against transpositions of mobile DNA - elements and ontogenetic regulation of gene expression.

2 types of small regulatory RNA – miRNA (microRNA) and siRNA (short interfering RNA) have a dominant role in silencing.

The mechanism of the physiological

action at the cellular level

Page 14: Presentation 2015 eng s

14

The mechanism of the physiological action at the cellular level

3. Si/miRNA are similar in structure and function (characterized by antisense structure complementary to mRNA) and play a dual role in plants: 1) jointly with site - specific multisubunit endo- and exonucleases, which are components of RISC complex (RNA - induced silencing complex), si/mi RNA determined the life time of each mRNA molecules. They primarily destroy by degradation (cleavage) or blocking (silencing) of translation the aberrant and imperfect on the structure molecules mRNA, which may appear incorrectly in cells, 2) serve protective (antipatogenic and antiparasitic) function.

Page 15: Presentation 2015 eng s

15

The mechanism of the physiological action at the cellular level

4. In both cases, these biological effects are achieved by binding si/mi RNA with complementary polynucleotide link of mRNA of own cells, or pathogenic viruses, or harmful organisms such as nematodes.

Page 16: Presentation 2015 eng s

16

The mechanism of the physiological action at the cellular level

5. Scientists propose two

approaches to increase the number of si/mi RNA in response to pathogenesis:

1) by introducing into cells of additional number of gene copies of si/mi RNA by genetic transformation, and

2) activation of expression of own cellular genes of si/mi RNA synthesis by some specific inducers.

The ecological and economic effectiveness of joint use of plant growth regulators with modern herbicides was shown for the reduction of pesticides rates.

6. During 12 years the Uman State Agrarian University led by prof. Hrytsayenko Z.M. has carried out research "Development of eco-friendly production technologies with a minimal pesticide load in crop rotations."

release genetic potential of variety.

Moreover, grain got in variants with application
