[1] MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION between ODReurope and ODR Latinoamerica On Friday July 8, 2016, ODReurope, one of the leading ODR entities in Europe, an open source of information for the development and dissemination of technological applications for resolving disputes and an effort to promote online settlement to professional mediators, companies and individuals, represented by the founder Petros Zourdoumis and ODR Latinoamerica, one of the leading entities in the world in the field of ODR, a key contributor to the evolution of online dispute resolution, both in professional, scientific and academic level with a high record of promoting ODR practices through various activities all over the world, represented by the founder Alberto Elisavetsky commonly agreed to sign this memorandum of cooperation for the promotion of ODR to their respective communities and globally through the actions described below: 1. Exchange information on available or under progress dispute resolution technologies and systems 2. Introduce their entities to fora, organizations, institutions and schemes to which they respectively participate in order to grow the ODR movement 3. Work together on ODR related projects that can benefit their presence in the field of ODR 4. Share good practices on tools, mechanisms and initiatives that could be used/taken for the promotion and implementation of online dispute resolution 5. Exchange training material that will be used for lectures and the continuous development of professionals 6. Post each other’s logo on their respective websites

ODReurope and ODR Latinoamerica

On Friday July 8, 2016,

ODReurope, one of the leading ODR entities in Europe, an open source of information for the development and dissemination of technological applications for resolving disputes and an effort to promote online settlement to professional mediators, companies and individuals, represented by the founder Petros Zourdoumis

and

ODR Latinoamerica, one of the leading entities in the world in the field of ODR, a key contributor to the evolution of online dispute resolution, both in professional, scientific and academic level with a high record of promoting ODR practices through various activities all over the world, represented by the founder Alberto Elisavetsky

commonly agreed to sign this memorandum of cooperation for the promotion of ODR to their respective communities and globally through the actions described below:

1. Exchange information on available or under progress dispute resolution technologies and systems

2. Introduce their entities to fora, organizations, institutions and schemes to which they respectively participate in order to grow the ODR movement

3. Work together on ODR related projects that can benefit their presence in the field of ODR

4. Share good practices on tools, mechanisms and initiatives that could be used/taken for the promotion and implementation of online dispute resolution

5. Exchange training material that will be used for lectures and the continuous development of professionals

6. Post each other’s logo on their respective websites

7. Post each other’s initiatives, articles and breaking news to their respective websites

8. Develop a common network and cooperate in offering ADR/ODR services to cross

border disputes

9. Pursue jointly global funding for academic research and for developing ODR applications and software

10. Work together towards building a global network of ODR entities

11. Develop training opportunities for students and professionals and exchange of knowledge programs

12. Contribute, whenever feasible, to each other’s projects and initiatives

The intent of this memorandum is to create the closest possible co-operation between the two entities and not in any way to force into action or create legal obligations arising out of the actions cited above, which are to be honored and fulfilled solely on the basis of the free will of the parties

This memorandum sets the foundations for a long lasting cooperation between ODReurope and ODR Latinoamerica and the founders of the above entities are duly committed to make all necessary efforts to strengthen their co-operation and expand it to unforeseen relevant areas of interest which are not described herein.

Parties have placed their signatures below in order to ratify the content of this memorandum which takes effect from the date stated above and for an indefinite period of time.
