All of the images are taken at a gig and are indirectly addressing the camera. This gives them a casual look and makes it seem ad though you are there.

Box outs are used for more essential information to be shown and to stand out against the rest of the text.

The light travels down the page, (shown by the white arrow) this makes the readers eye to be drawn down the page diagonally

The images have a fine border down the edge of the picture this separates the images out so they so not blend into one, it also makes them more visually exciting to look at. Some of the images also look like they are taped to the page, this makes the spread feel like it is a scrap book and therefore makes the images feel even more real and clearly not staged pictures.

All the colours used are dark and create an atmosphere to support the pictures, they also tie in with the brand identity reminding the reader of the magazine they are reading.
