Audience survey analysis

For the first question I asked the audience about what kind of freebies and giveaways they would like to see featured within the magazine. The most popular was iTunes vouchers closely followed by concert tickets & signed merchandise. iTunes vouchers would be a more frequent give away as they are considerably cheaper than something like concert tickets therefore there is more of a chance for the audience to win.

Here I have asked the audience what could be one of the most important questions, how much they would like to pay to purchase our magazine. The most popular answer was £3.00-£3.99. This is the second highest price option, therefore meaning the audience have a good amount of disposable income to spend on our magazine once a month.

This questions talks about the different uses of social media from the magazine. Twitter was the most selected answer, therefore proving it is most popular and what most people use. Which means that if we use it we can branch out to a lot of potential audiences and consumers.

The question here is about the main article and what kind of artists the audience would like to read about most. All three got the same amount of votes therefore portraying that we need to have a lot of variety within the magazine and different people want to see different things.

We gave the audience a chance to rank out of a list of 5, what they would most like to see within the magazine, the highest selected was reviews. This would include album, single, concert and festival reviews and many more. Also interviews was joint top, showing that the audience would like to see different artists actual words and find out things.

Here we gave the audience to pick their favourite artist out of a list. This was just to give us an idea of who is popular and who as a music magazine we can consider interviewing and featuring in our magazine. Ed Sheeran was the highest picked.

We gave a very simple question here just asking about whether or not they would like to see tour dates and ticket release dates featured within the magazine. All participants selected ‘yes’.

As a music magazine it is crucial we chose a genre to focus on wisely. The highest picked was actually hip-hop/rap however we believe indie would be more affective as it is more of an English based genre whereas hip-hop is more American based and harder to target.

Each different festival appeals to different people, age groups and includes different music. Therefore we wanted to find out what festival our audience liked best, which would give us an idea as to what type of people they are. Reading was the highest picked.
