The Point! is a fable by Harry Nilsson. It is about a boy named Oblio, the only round‐headed person in the Pointed Village,

where by law everyone and everything must have a point. In 1977, a stage adaptation of The Point! was presented at the

Mermaid Theatre in London. Featured in the cast were Davy Jones and Micky Dolenz of The Monkees, who were long‐time

friends of Nilsson. This is the first time that the original cast album will be released in North America and on CD.

Born to Clark Sr. and Mary Terry on 14th December 1920 in St.Louis, MO, Clark Terry Jr. attended Vashon High School andbegan playing the valve trombone at an early age. In fact, Terryhad already turned professional by the early 1940s, playing thelocal jazz clubs. Having served as a bandsman at the GreatLakes Naval Training Centre between 1942 and 1945, Clarkquickly returned to his first passion and began to establish his

prominence on the local scene. He started by joining the groupsof Charlie Barnett in 1947, Count Basie between 1948 and 1951,and Duke Ellington between 1951 and 1959, where he earnedhimself a good reputation through his stylistic flexibility, technicalskill and famed sense of humour. It was towards the middle ofthe decade that Terry began recording his first album as co-leader.

Although initially brought in to contribute to Dinah Washington'sDinah Jams, the same session also produced Jam Session,which was led by the triumvirate of Clark Terry with fellow playersClifford Brown and Maynard Ferguson. Despite his eight-yeardedication to Ellington's band, Clark Terry still managed torelease a considerable number of his own records as bandleaderthroughout the decade. These would include such classics asSerenade to a Bus Seat, In Orbit - which featured the sublimepiano playing of Thelonious Monk - and Top And Bottom Brass,when the Clark Terry Quintet were joined by jazz tuba playerDon Butterfield.

A master in both bebop and swing territory, Terry lent histrumpeting talent to hundreds of recordings, as well as becomthe first flugelhorn pioneer in the genre. Sadly, on 13th February 2015, Clark Terry entered hospice cato help manage his advanced diabetes, and passed away eigdays later at the age of 94. There is little doubt that Clark Terrwill be remembered as one of the most talented and versatilemusicians to ever grace the jazz idiom, turning his hand to annumber of styles and practices. Until his untimely death on January 23rd 1978, eight monthsafter the concert featured on this two CD set, Terry Kath hadbeen Chicago's lead guitarist, having been with the band sinctheir formation as Chicago Transit Authority, in 1967. JimiHendrix once told saxophonist Walter Parazaider, "Jeez, yourhorn players are like one set of lungs and your guitar player is

better than me." Kath had to play both lead and rhythm withChicago, in addition to singing on certain tracks, and make itsound as strong and powerful in front of Chicago's prominenthorn section. In this, he did exceedingly well. This show openwith Kath's 'Mississippi Delta City Blues', originally found onChicago XI.

The show was performed on May 20, 1977 at The NassauColiseum on Long Island. At the time up and coming super-reporter Geraldo Rivera hosted an annual charity raising evenentitled "The One to One Telethon", to raise money to updateand/or eradicate the gloomy "insane asylums" that weremistreating mentally challenged individuals in NYC back then1977's "One to One Telethon" featured this concert by ChicagTwo sets with a break in the middle. Hi Tom, how's itgoing?" - A Waitsesque growl in response reveals this to be areal life scenario - is the icing on the cake. When later she jok"so many hits, which one to play," followed shortly thereafter "Hi Elton, Hi Bob, good that you could make it down," the dryRaitt humour is in full flow. Born in 1949, Joe Egan already played along with his schoolfriend Gerry Rafferty in various smaller British bands in theSixties before they 1972 then succeeded with the creation of thefolk-rock duo Stealers Wheel. With the surprise hit "Stuck in theMiddle with You", written by Egan and Rafferty, they were able toplace the song in the top ten of the American and British charts.Rafferty then left the band, leaving Egan the role of bandleader.

But even before the next recordings Rafferty returned to theband, which meant that all other musicians got out except Egan.The second album "Ferguslie Park " therefore was recorded byGerry Rafferty and Joe Egan as a duo with accompanyingmusicians. Two minor single hits were released, "Everyone's

Agreed That Everything Will Turn Out Fine" and "Star".Thereafter, the partnership between Egan and Raffety did notlonger seem to work. Before the release of the third album "Rightor Wrong", sluggish sales and artistic differences led to the splitof Stealers Wheel in 1975. The two songwriters went separateways. As both were still bound to complicated contracts, for threeyears they could not publish further recordings. So in 1979 JoeEgan released his first solo album "Out Of Nowhere", a numberof top-class studio musicians like Gallagher & Lyle, HenrySpinetti, Dave Markee, Phil Palmer and Alan Parkeraccompanied him during the recordings. The critics wereenthusiastic, especially in Germany ( "best folk-rock album of theyear", "better than Raffertys debut album"). . As Gerry Raffertysolo had struggling with similar problems, it came quite quickly toa reunion of Stealers Wheel. But the train had left.

In a limited edition of 1000 copies pressed on white vinyl.

(Music Express 1971) German Rocclassic after 45 years back on vinyl again! 1969 formed, IHREKINDER decided to connect songs in German lyrics with rockmusic. Given the lack of acceptance among record labels - romusic at that time was exclusively reserved English singing

bands - they produced their first LP IHRE KINDER 1969themselves (supported by Jonas Porst). In 1969 the band sigwith the newly established Munich record company Kuckuck aproduced the album "Leere Hände" (not without a precaution make an English version for all pieces). Kuckuck went on withthe next albums by IHRE KINDER untiel the split in 1973. Thesongs of the band are known for their complex but also engagsocially critical texts on topics such as substance abuse,apartheid, detention and xenophobia. In music magazine StarSzene '77 is finally read: "IHRE KINDER were the first Germagroup that played rock and brought German texts " "Werdohl"was the fourth album and appeared in 1971. For Germany'slargest circulation music magazine Music Express Werdohl w"the best pop album, which has been published in the Germalanguage". This great album will appear after 45 years again
