PARENT INFORMATION SESSIONS 2016 These sessions will be held during week 3. Please note the day and time as there will be 2 time slots over 2 days.

Wednesday 10th February 5.30 – 6.00pm - Early Stage 1 – KQ, KS and KL (ie. Mrs Librando’s Kindy’s) – in the main Kinder rooms

Stage 1 – 1/2M, 1/2S (in 1/2S classroom) 1/2V (in 1/2V classroom) 6.00 – 6.30pm - 1L (ie. Mrs Librando’s Year 1’s) in K/1L classroom 5/6M – 5/6M classroom

Thursday 11th February 5.30 – 6.00pm – Stage 2 – 3/4D, 3/4P in 3/4D classroom 4/5G in 4/5G classroom 6.00 – 6.30pm – 5/6W in 5/6W classroom

This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and get an understanding of what will be happening in your child’s classroom.

P&C NEWS

Welcome back to school for 2016 and a huge welcome to our new families who have started at North Wagga recently! Just a quick note to let you know that the next meeting of the P&C and the North Wagga P&C AGM will be held on Thursday 11th February at 6.30pm in the library. All welcome to attend and please consider stepping up for a position, even if you can just do a position on the P&C for a year it would be great! The P& C is an important part of the school and raises money to support the education of all students at North Wagga. It would be fantastic to see some new faces helping out as we lost some of our great workers last year. Thank you, hope to see you all on the 11th!

Our school’s support staff include: Mrs Lesley Johanson, Mrs Vicki Archer, Mrs Nicole Tinker, Mrs Marg Baker, Miss Hilary Measday, Mr Darryl Dickinson and Mrs Julie Smith.

Our School Counsellor is yet to be appointed.

Mrs Librando will be in the role of Relieving Assistant Principal while I am Relieving Principal, and when Mrs Diaz is on leave, Mrs Quilliam will also step into a Relieving Principal role.

Next Wednesday and Thursday, teachers will be running their Parent Information Sessions. Please see further information in the newsletter. I do hope you are able to attend one of the information sessions, as this is a wonderful opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and find out more about your child’s learning in 2016.

SCHOOL BANKING If your child has an account with the Hume Bank, deposits may be made by sending the book and money to school on Thursday for collection by the Hume Bank representative. If you wish your child to start an account with the Hume Bank please collect an information enevelope from the school office.

SCHOOL HATS All students must wear a hat when playing in the playground or at sport. If they forget to bring their hat then they are to remain in the shaded areas. School hats are $5.00 and are available each day from the school office prior to 9.15am. Don’t forget to write your child’s name inside so that it can be easily returned if lost.

UNIFORMS Please note that only cash/ cheque can be accepted for school uniforms or P&C activities as this is run by the P&C, not the school. The office ladies have been selling uniforms to allow people to get organised for school quickly but school uniforms can now only be ordered by sending an envelope to school with your child with the money and order or you may drop the order envelope in personally. A P&C representative will fill your order and send it home with your child when they are next in the school.
