    IN THE GARDEN

    Verse I

I come to the garden alone,

    The Son o God discloses.

    Rerain

And He tells me I am His own,

And the joy we share as we tarry there,

    None other has ever known.

    Verse II

He speaks, and the sound o His voice is so sweet

Id stay in the garden with Him

    Though the night around me be alling;

JOHN 7:32/3738/4046 (KJV)32The Pharisees heard that the people murmured

such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and

the chie priests sent ocers to take him.

37In the last day, that great day o the east, Jesusstood and cried, saying, I any man thirst, let him

come unto me, and drink. 38 He that believeth on

me, as the scripture hath said, out o his belly shall

    fow rivers o living water.

    40

Many o the people thereore, when they heardthis saying, said, O a truth this is the Prophet.41Others said, This is the Christ. But some said,

Shall Christ come out o Galilee? 42 Hath not the

scripture said, That Christ cometh o the seed o

David, and out o the town o Bethlehem, where

David was? 43 So there was a division among the

people because o him. 44And some o them

would have taken him; but no man laid hands on

him. 45 Then came the ocers to the chie priests

and Pharisees; and they said unto them, Why have

ye not brought him? 46 The ocers answered,

Never man spake like this man.

EXODUS 5:15 (The Message)1Ater that Moses and Aaron approached

Pharaoh. They said, God, the God o Israel,

says, Free my people so that they can hold a

estival or me in the wilderness. 2 Pharaoh said,

And who is God that I should listen to him andsend Israel o? I know nothing o this so-called

God and Im certainly not going to send Israel

    o. 3 They said, The God o the Hebrews has

met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into

the wilderness so we can worship our God lest he

strike us with either disease or death.45

But theking o Egypt said, Why on earth, Moses and

Aaron, would you suggest the people be given a

holiday? Back to work! Pharaoh went on,

Look, Ive got all these people bumming

around, and now you want to reward them with

    time o?

please! Send somebody else! 1417God got angry

with Moses: Dont you have a brother, Aaron

the Levite? Hes good with words, I know he is.

He speaks very well. In act, at this very moment

hes on his way to meet you. When he sees you

hes going to be glad. Youll speak to him and tell

him what to say. Ill be right there with you as youspeak and with him as he speaks, teaching you step

by step. He will speak to the people or you. Hell

act as your mouth, but youll decide what comes

out of it. Now take this staff in your hand; youll

use it to do the signs.

    6:00 p.m.

EXODUS 4:117(The Message)1 Moses objected, They wont trust me. They

wont listen to a word I say. Theyre going to say,

God? Appear to him? Hardly! 2 So God said,

Whats that in your hand? A sta. 3 Throw

it on the ground. He threw it. It became asnake; Moses jumped backfast! 45God said to

Moses, Reach out and grab it by the tail. He

reached out and grabbed itand he was holding

his sta again. Thats so they will trust that God

appeared to you, the God o their athers, the

God o Abraham, the God o Isaac, and the Godo Jacob. 6 God then said, Put your hand inside

your shirt. He slipped his hand under his shirt,

then took it out. His hand had turned leprous, like

snow. 7 He said, Put your hand back under your

shirt. He did it, then took it back outas healthy

as beore. 89So i they dont trust you and arent

convinced by the rst sign, the second sign should

do it. But i it doesnt, i even ater these two signs

they dont trust you and listen to your message,

take some water out of the Nile and pour it out on

the dry land; the Nile water that you pour out will

turn to blood when it hits the ground. 10 Moses

raised another objection to God: Master, please, Idont talk well. Ive never been good with words,

neither beore nor ater you spoke to me. I stutter

and stammer. 1112 God said, And who do you

think made the human mouth? And who makes

some mute, some dea, some sighted, some blind?

Isnt it I, God? So, get going. Ill be right therewith youwith your mouth! Ill be right there to

teach you what to say. 13He said, Oh, Master,

THE RESuLTS OF A REDEEmED LIFE

    ITS THE MONEY

Recently, a riend o mine asked the question, Would you believe me, iI told you that our Lord spoke about money more than any other one

thing? My rst reaction was, He wouldnt do a thing like that! He was

    too spiritual.

Remember the parables o the lost coin, the laborers o the vineyard, the rich

ool, the talents, the hidden treasure, the unjust steward, the pearl o great price,

the two debtors, the rich man and the beggar? And, o course, the parable o the

Good Samaritan who paid a victims motel bill? Remember Jesus encounter with

the rich young ruler, sell all you have, and the Prodigal Son who demanded his

inheritance; and Zacchaeus, who made grandiose promises about his ill-gotten

wealth? Or, remember his discussion about paying taxes to the temple and to

Caesar, or even his actions in driving the money changers out o the temple? Isnt

it strange, or is it very natural, that our Lord should nd stewardship such an

interesting topic? Ever wonder why? When someone tells me, It aint the money, but the principle o the thing

its the money. A church is guided by principle, but run with money. Everyones

support helps a church to be eective.
