Hi! My name is Dragos Boncan. I was born on 20th November 2003, in Bucharest, Romania. I'm eleven years old. I attended the primary school at "Constantin Brancusi". Now, I'm a student in the fifth grade at "Tudor Vianu" National High School of Computer Science. I'm intelligent, ambitious and cheerful, but I am sometimes too lazy. My favorite subjects are: Maths, Astronomy and Geography. I am qualified for the national phase at "Terra Contest". I'm interested in studying the Universe. I want to become an astronaut because everything in the Universe is fascinating. I also like winter sports, such as skiing and skating. When summer comes, I love climbing the mountains. Building different models from Lego Bricks is another hobby. I am very proud of my International Space Station made of Lego Bricks. The two poems and the interview with my best friend, Luca represent my contribution to this school magazine.

Hi! I am Ana Maria Popa and I am 12. •I was born on March the 20th 2003 in Bucharest, Romania. •In 2010 I went to the”Alexandru Vlahuta” primary school. Now I am studying at “ Tudor Vianu National High School of Informatics”, in the 5th grade.•My hobbies are writing ,cycling and reading, a lot. •I read many books, some of them were ghost stories, that is why , in this magazine, I am writing a horror story named “ The Hidden Diamond” and the article about the 2015 most expectied film : The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2.

Hello there! I’m Mara Pripon, I am 11 years old and I was born in Bucharest, on 26 June 2003. I am currently a fifth grade student at ” TUDOR VIANU” National High school of Computer Science and also at “IOSIF SAVA” Music School, where I study violin and also piano. Into the chapter "my passion - the music" come and singing, which I started at age six. The interest in my development and perseverance have brought me beautiful results in mathematics competitions, Romanian language and music. As a hobby I have to say I enjoy drawing, dancing, sports and travelling. I love to discover new places, to admire the scenery, to visit museums, swimming, cycling , walking, looking for the rainbow after the rain. THE HIDDEN DIAMOND - A GHOST STORY BY ANA MARIA

POPA Jane and Colin were walking through a dark forest in the countryside on their holiday. While walking by a lake, they found a small old cemetery. On entering it, Colin stepped against a log and fell over. In front of his head there was an ancient gravestone. What was written on it? They saw only two words: “STAY AWAY” – nothing more!Colin searched through the stones inside the grave and suddenly came upon a strange bright stone: it was a beautiful diamond! Who did it belong to? A strange wind began to blow and the two friends decided to go to their car with the diamond. Colin looked behind him and saw a silhouette: it was a dark woman with a long white dress. It seemed to say something but Colin did not understand. Then the silhouette disappeared.They drove to a small town, as it was getting dark. Jane felt tired. They found a small hotel and close to it a museum. Colin wanted to know more about the diamond. The next morning they both went to the museum and asked the curator about the origin of the diamond. Colin explained the curator where they had found the diamond. The curator said the diamond was worth a lot of money. He had never seen such a big bright one before.The legends of the region said that in the old times such ancient objects had been buried along with the dead bodies. Many of them had been cursed because the people who had died wanted to keep the valuable objects in their coffins.The curator also said the diamond had to be taken back to the cemetery.An hour later the two friends were in the hotel cafeteria. Colin told Jane she had to take the diamond back to the grave. He was afraid of the dark woman.

In his coffee cup he saw some strange words: “YOU CAN’T HIDE FROM ME!!Colin got very frightened and went to the rest room. Suddenly some more strange words appeared in the mirror: “I WILL TAKE BACK WHAT IS MINE!”When he returned to the cafeteria, Jane was not there any more! Where was she? – Colin wondered. The car had disappeared too! It seemed that Jane had stolen the diamond and run away with it!With no car, Colin could not do anything! He ran to the museum for help. The curator lent him his own car to find Jane and the diamond.At the same time, Jane was driving along the dark forest road and thinking about the money she would get for the precious diamond.Suddenly there appeared a white silhouette in front of the car. It was that woman from the cemetery! She had a wedding dress on. Her hair was black and covered her scary face. Her skin was pale.Shocked to death, Jane was not able to drive any longer! She screamed loudly because she could not see the road, only the scary face in front of her, with black and cold eyes.Jane’s car left the road and hit a tree. Then it fell into the river and the water closed upon it.Colin was on the same road too. He arrived at the scene of the accident. He phoned the police.A short time later the police came and took the car out of the river. A police officer looked inside the car and saw a dead girl: it was Jane!Then suddenly Colin looked behind and saw the strange woman. Before disappearing into the forest, she said: “Thank you for bringing the diamond back to me! I died for this beautiful wedding present…”

Christmas is my favorite season, not only because we celebrate it in winter, but also because families gather around the Christmas tree and share presents.At Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and we have different traditions. Some of them are very interesting . Of course , the most loved tradition is SANTA CLAUS. Santa Claus is a tradition in many countries around the world. Santa Claus is a funny old man, with rosy cheeks and a long white beard that brings presents to everyone.Every year on Christmas Eve Santa puts the presents under the Christmas tree or in the stockings hanged by the chimney.Usually people leave something for Santa in return: milk and cookies in case he is hungry. I like the time when, along with my family, I decorate the tree and the house. We have a lot of fun together.Christmas is also the time when you can hear carols everywhere you go. My favorite carol is “Silent Night”.

I like listening to this carol every year on Christmas Eve. There is also a poem I like to read with my mum and dad. It is called “The night before Christmas” by Clement Moore. I know that many American families do the same thing.For Christmas Eve my mum prepares “cozonac”(nut cake) and “sarmale”(mince meat rolled in cabbage leaves) – the traditional Romanian food.We usually have guests for our Christmas lunch. Christmas is one of the happiest time of the year because we enjoy all the moments spent together.Every Christmas I take my friends with me and we go carolling in the neighborhood. We have fun and we get sweets, fruits and even money.Then we go back home and we enjoy the presents received. I save money to buy myself a dress and a perfume bottle.Christmas is for me the most special time of the year when love, happiness and friendship fly in the air all day long. I can`t wait for the next Christmas!I am planning a surprise Christmas party for my best friends at my house. I already know who is going to bemy special guest. Can you guess?

THE HUNGER GAMES MOCKING JAY - PART 2 ONE OF 2015 MOST EXPECTED FILMS – BY ANA MARIA POPA The hole world is waiting for the most awesome film: the last part of the trilogy The Hunger Games. Mockingjay Part 2 is on the second place in the top of the 2015 most expected films. I’ m sure you wonder why everybody likes the film: the books from this series are bestsellers and also the first one own an Oscar Prize! Wow! The first film, The Hunger Games (2012) is about a sixteen year old girl named Katniss Everdeen who voluntarily takes her younger sister's part in the Hunger Games, a televised fierce fight in which two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to compete to each other. Katniss won the 74th Hunger Games amulet together with Peeta Mellark, her partner. In Catching Fire (2013), Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark become targets of the Capitol after their victory in the 74th Hunger Games. In the end a rebellion sparks in the Districts .

M: Last year you received the “Next Star” Trophy .  What did it mean to you? V: Fulfilling a dream, opportunities.  It is an important award and I am proud and honored I won it. M: When did you start singing? Do you remember the first song hummed? V: I`ve been singing  since I was 6 and the first song was: "I am not spoiled". M: Who has realized that you have a good voice? Who have you worked with? Who are you working with now? V: WOW, too many questions. My mother took me to singing classes, because  I sang all day like most children do.  I started working with Mrs. Ana Tanasescu from the National Children's Palace, and now with composer  Viorel Gavrila. M: What`s your daily schedule? V: I wake up very early . I go to school, then I rehearse my singing and piano lessons and then do my homework . M: Do you have any time to relax? V: I go to the cinema and sometimes I have fun with my friends in the park. M: If you had to choose an artist to do a featuring on who would you choose? V: Beyoncé, definitely. D: Hi, Luca! Can you describe yourself in a few words? L: Sure! I'm a cool boy with blue eyes and straight black hair. All the girls say that I'm handsome. I'm intelligent, sociable and helpful, but I'm sometimes too annoying. D: What do you do in your spare time? L: I love reading a lot, especially adventure books and playing computer games. D: Which is your favorite book? L: "The Diary of a Wimpy Kid" by Jeff Kinney. I think I have a lot of things in common with the main character, Greg Hefley. D: Why do you read? L: The world of books is fascinating. I can experience new things and I can go to many beautiful places. D: Which is your favorite computer game? L: I like the "Clash of Clans" because it's a strategy game. But I also enjoy playing "Heroes of Order and Chaos". D: How many hours a day do you spend surfing the Internet?
