As always, the time seems to have flown by and we can’t believe it’s time for holidays. A big thank you to all who have helped out in any way around the school during the term. We could not possibly achieve all we do without the support of volunteers in a variety of capacities. If you have been into the school this week you would have noticed the verandah has gone and the older students have moved into their temporary classes. A massive vote of thanks to the mums and dads who came in last Saturday to help with the demolition and moving. We are on track for the builders to move in over the holidays and for work to commence early next term. PROJECT COMPASSION: For A Just Future “Aspire not to have more, but to be more.” These words of Oscar Romero inspire Caritas Australia’s education team. Archbishop Romero was a Caritas partner in El Salvador who lived Catholic Social Teaching without compromise and paid the ultimate price A big thank you to all those who supported and contributed to Project Compassion by way of the Project Compassion boxes. The total raised by the school was $1147.70. PARENT COMMUNICATION BOX There is a grey communication box in the Office foyer for parents who are wanting to leave items for other parents. Please clearly label all items/envelopes before placing them in the grey box. MOTHERSDAY BREAKFAST There are a couple of events coming up quickly in term two. One of these is our Mothers’ Day Breakfast on Friday, May 10 commencing at 7:30am. We have had a tremendous turnout over the past few years and we are looking forward to another wonderful community event. All mums and grandmas are invited along to a bacon and egg breakfast cooked by our master chefs! I hope to see you there. I would like to wish everyone a safe holiday and I look forward to seeing you all again next term.
